I love how you respect the trail, how you talk about it and mostly, I love that you don’t seem to be in a rush to get a big powerful Jeep with 800 and more hp to go fast on the trail and show off. I own a simple Jeep, cannot afford or want a bigger machine and I can easily identify myself with you.Thanks for your videos and keep on Jeeping!

Amazing trip...rain, rainbows, sunshine, old cabins, and snow! Beautiful area and the more i watch, the more i want to be out there. I live extreme east on the shores of the chesepeake bay so my surroundings are the opposite. Beaches and waters but nowhere close to actually drive offroad like this and no freakin snow!! I hate the fact we dont get snow. Time to move!! Keep striving for ur 100k goal and keep networking with ppl and overland companies to get there! Mickey thompson..sponsor this guy! One of the few rocking the mickeys in a sea of toyo and nitto's lol! How do they perform in snow? I have the same tires on my suv and im curious since thats one of the few terrains im not able to experience

I have been blessed to travel coast to coast in Canada and I must say parts of the east coast are breathtaking, and I want to go back with my jeep and explore off the beaten path. Little out there! I absolutely love these mickeys, I have a abused them in rocks and have some little chunks taken Out of the sidewalls, still hold air. I have used them in clay and mud and they work decent for being an all terrain. And in the snow they are phenomenal. Air down to 12-10 psi and just let them slowly claw away at the snow. Even on the street fully aired up in the snow I have confidence in them. 10/10 will be purchasing another set. Just bigger 🤘🏻

I enjoyed your video. I have heard that a lot of people make that mistake with their power Banks and their diesel heaters. I personally just carry a spare battery and attach my diesel heater directly to the spare battery and roll with that and it works really well. in the future you could test hooking that diesel heater to your battery in your Jeep because it only takes the 9 amps to get started but after that I think it's only 2 amps.
@LetsGetLost.
@LetsGetLost. 3 күн бұрын
Yea I actually figured it out after this trip!! I was attempting for draw power from the 12V Dc cigarette plug and it couldn’t handle the 9 amp power draw even though it’s rated for it. So I ordered a 300 amp rated LED driver on amazing so I could plug it into one of the AC outlets on my jackery. And Bingo I got it running! My next solution was going to be exactly what you said just a deep cycle marine battery or something!

21:48 perfect example of what a lot of these KZbin influencers hide from the viewers. 9/10 there is a easier line, and this line is considered “lame.” It’s enough to discourage people who don’t have 100k to spend on a build from attempting this. It makes me happy to see the “alternate route” shown. Keep up the good content.
@LetsGetLost.
@LetsGetLost. 17 күн бұрын
Couldn’t agree more, a lot of the time on my adventures like mini whipsaw for example there wasn’t any alternative lines. I was up for the challenge in this video. There are so many beautiful places people can get to without dropping 100K on a rig. KZbinrs have to create engaging content so the harder lines are generally the ones being shown. I appreciate your comment 🤙
@Toyota_Ted
@Toyota_Ted 17 күн бұрын
@ oh I totally get it. It’s way more entertaining to watch someone rock crawl than take a mostly flat and level dirt road. But I feel like it also discourages some people to even try. When I was starting off modding my trucks, I saw videos of people wheeling on stuff I couldn’t imaging being able to afford fabricating something for. Then you realize how much of it’s for entertainment when you get out on the trails. Realistically people should build their rigs to the environment they’re trying to get through. No sense in over building if you’re just going to spend the time on pavement. Captain Cautious is okay by me 😂

I have no pride at all when it comes to driving off a trail. If people had any idea just how expensive it is to push your limits. Case in point. You break in silverton/ouray/telluride and there is no Rory Irish coming to save you in a trailmater. Closest repair shop is 2.5 hours away north or south on pavement and if you get yourself broken in middle of the mountains then you might as well just write a blank check at that point. Silverton for example has 1 car shop manned by this old guy who is there for 5 minutes a day. Pull a winch, drive around, live another day and modify vehicle better for next time. My faux pas here in florida cost me $2400 fixing passenger front on my tacoma when I had it. Wheel bearing broke, cv axel ripped out, abs sensor broke, rotor broke, pads fell out... and I was 1.5 hours offroad to pavement and 1.5 hours away from closest shop by pavement. All I did was fall in a rut going 10 mph.
@LetsGetLost.
@LetsGetLost. 17 күн бұрын
Ouch !!! I bet that turned into a really long day? How long did it take to get the truck back to pavement ?

@moretoliving2236 17 күн бұрын
@@LetsGetLost. When you are really upset time just looses its meaning. I was far too preoccupied with trying to get out of there. If I had to guess... probably 3 hours to pavement on fire road dragging now tied off front wheel that otherwise would have fallen off otherwise. I think it took me 2 days to have it repaired after that at the shop. Taught me many lessons about stuff.

Lol acting like 35s are tiny. I have them on our Rubicon and they're plenty big enough for anything we have here in Colorado. Other than snow wheeling in 3 feet of snow I have never had a situation where I didn't feel like they were big enough. And I have less lift than you do.
@LetsGetLost.
@LetsGetLost. 18 күн бұрын
I mean I do wheel with people that generally have 37s or larger. I have found myself in many situations wishing I had a little bigger tire. Can you get by with 35s yes absolutely.
@seanwatson3790
@seanwatson3790 18 күн бұрын
@LetsGetLost. Ya that is true. I picked my size cuz I didn't have to do any expensive modifications to make them fit and it makes it a super capable overlander/ off roader. My problem with going bigger is you have to lift them, and I have had awful experiences with jeep warranty claims because of modifications that make me super gunshy about doing anything drastic that'll void my power train warranty . Maybe dealerships in Canada are a lot more chill about that stuff but they sure aren't here
