You should always carry a small hydraulic bottle jack with you they work great for repairs an also as a ram press for straighten bent stuff bc they work sideways as standing up an they take up very little room

As for that seized bolt while you were on the trailer, I might have tried a scissor or bottle jack if you had one.

I actually didn’t think of that!! What a good idea!! I’ll remember that tip next time I get into a similar situation!

Just get rid of the steering dampner :) I haven't run one on the JL since I lifted it.

Yea, I actually still haven’t managed to get the old one off, there isn’t any oil left in it. But after bending the rod straight it doesn’t bind up anymore 😅

Do you have these trails mapped somewhere I can see? Or what’s the name of them? Amazing video dude

Great videos! They are entertaining, and the production value is top-notch. They make me wish I lived out west. Investing in a four-gas monitor and bump test kit might be worth it if you are exploring the mines. It will test Oxygen (O2) levels, Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), and Methane (CH4). You can never be too safe when exploring. Keep up the great work!
@LetsGetLost.Ай бұрын
Thank you for that info. I’m gonna go look into one of those kits right now!! I love exploring but doing it safely is always my top priority! Cheers 🍻 🤙

The original video along with some others from this trip caused quite a kerfuffle in the local off-road community because of the way some of the drivers crossed the "sketchy bridge" so it was removed.
@LetsGetLost.Ай бұрын
This entire trip was intended to be a movie from the beginning so I released individual episodes while building up the finished product.

hey i wonder if anyone else noticed when the drone was flying over the glacier looking straght down there was something bright red in a cravis it looked like a big backpack or a coat, first 30 min, of the video. cheers

Yea I notice it instantly when I pulled the footage into the edit. I’m equally curious and confused as everyone else on that one!!

The steering stabilizer incident. I was a bit surprised you didn't have the tools to remove it immediately. Seems like you go out frequently and can get pretty isolated, do you not carry a basic set of tools with you? I find that a bit surprising. Not trying to be negative or critica,l I'm just kind of curious what happened there?
@LetsGetLost.Ай бұрын
Honestly I’m still working on building up a good sized tool setup. I knew Mike would have a good setup so I waited 🤙

Some might say a Tahoe is a pretty glamp worthy vehicle. Full time survival one might say.
