I had same problem and I know this video was published 2 years ago but your tunes are the far left wher their is no numbers so you go all the way left and your at tune one your sticker is in the wrong position

This is transfer case chain. I just replace my prado 90 transfer cace mostly its happen over use 4L

Flexplate. Especially if getting ticking once warm and tick sound and frequency increases when you shift auto to D R etc

Sounds like a sloppy chain. Remove the fill plug and make sure it has fluid. If not probably a bearing. A lot of folks rarely change the fluid and most def never check the level. Best of luck

The hear the noise more when moving forward for example like changing to parck to drive and reverse or stoping on red light and then accelerating ?? I hear a similar noise on 3rd when i accelerate buts goes away after getting to speed.

Did it stop the smell ? I have a 05 wrx sti and when I take it for a little drive and stop, that's when that smell comes in. Could this also lead to miss fire ? Sometimes when I put my foot down it miss fires, like I'm running put of gas. Could this be the reason ? Please help

Hear me out. I had a noise that I was trying to figure out for over a year . My Xfer case makes the same noise, shop said it was a bad Xfer case bearing. Turns out it wasn’t the Xfer case at all. It was the little axle nut covers on my front axles vibrating around.

Same noise on my 96. Tore the case apart and found zero issues with bearings. All spin smoothly and quiet by hand. Chain has minimal slack. At this point I think I’ll just find a used unit.

The r350 rotors don't require you to redrill the bolt pattern. Running that current setup.
