This was such a cool way to see my home from a new perspective! You chose great places to eat- Schmidt’s and North Market are well-loved by both locals and tourists.

Funny how this just showed up in my KZbin feed today! My wife and I are both students in Cincinnati and we are driving to Raleigh tomorrow. Our drive is almost the exact opposite to the one you did, but it will be a bit longer since we're leaving out of Cincinnati. We will probably stop in the same towns that you stopped in. My wife is also Chinese so we're planning on visiting all the best Chinese spots around Raleigh and Durham!

My dad grew up in German village and we’ve always lived in the area. 13:10 is cosi, an absolutely fabulous children’s science museum. I have so many memories from my young childhood there. Cannot recommend enough, especially if you have elementary-middle school kids, but it’s still a fun time as an adult if you let yourself get into it.

Born and raised in Columbus, I used to drive that same route you did, through the Carolinas and Virginias and into Ohio, every year with my family. If you're ever back in Ohio in autumn, take a day to visit Athens in the southeast. It's a classical American college town, home to Ohio University, designed by the same architect who designed Harvard. Very beautiful

Bad news, they are closing the "Spaghetti Warehouse" in Columbus. One location that you can not visit here is the "Buckeye" railroad yard. Buckeye Yard was closed 20 years ago and was recently ripped up. It was a very large rail yard.

Columbus may not be a famous destination but we certainly have some stuff here. I personally don't live in downtown Columbus but that where I go to school. I go to German Village once and awhile, beautiful place. Schmidt's is indeed a great place for picking up goodies, been there not too long ago. Bicentennial Park's Fountains are very fun to around around in on a hot day, kids love it! Of course I go to North Market once and awhile. Topiary Park is a nice spot, plus it's right next to the library! Been to the Museum of Art quite a few times. Would be strange not too when I'm an art student. I get to go there for free on any day, not just Sundays. Not too mention that that Museum is practically on our campus. It may not have been in the video but I'm sure you saw the "Art" sign, kind of hard to miss. If you ever visit the Columbus area again check out the zoo. Other art places are the Wexner Center and the Billy Ireland Cartoon Museum on Ohio State University campus.

Next time you're there, if you like to read check out the book loft in German Village. They advertise 32 rooms of books. It's like a maze in there. You could get lost. It's really cool.

this is the exact recommendation I make to anyone who is in columbus for the first time. Get yourself a nice sandwich from Katzingers Deli for lunch and then walk over to the Book Loft for the best book store experience you'll find anywhere!

Next time you come back, make sure to check out Worthington on a Saturday am (farm market) or Bridge Park in the Dublin area and the vibrant Asian food scene in northwest Columbus (Japanese market, Korean bbq and hot pot, and all of the delicious tea and sweet shops). We love our city. Great video!❤

Hey lived in Columbus most of my life and I still watched this! I used to live like two streets away from Schmitts and its packed like that everyday, its always hard to get a table. Come back and go to Clintonville and some of the smaller places around Columbus, Downtown dublin is cool and Dublin also has nice parks, downtown Delaware is pretty cute too!

Excellent breakdown of our beautiful city! Downtown is amazing, I love walking around the Commons and into German Village. Next time come back and checkout our suburbs, which have so much charm like Dublin and it's Bridge Park, Hilliard, Grove City, Worthington, Westerville, New Albany, Gahanna. Easton is fun as is Polaris Fashion Mall. Also check out Inniswood Metro Park, it's exhilarating! Oh and the Columbus Zoo

I've lived in Columbus 21 years now. Schmidt's cream puffs are exquisite! I tend to kayak over that way instead of getting a chance to eat. The whole video, I kept wondering if you saw the deer on the bridge....AND YOU DID! I don't know why, but I like it :o) What were your expectations of Columbus before you came?

Been living here for a decade and, while there is a lot to do for visitors, it also has the typical "big city" problems. Lots of homelessness and gentrification pushing people out of affordable neighborhoods. OSU gameday makes traffic an absolute nightmare. Public transportation is so-so and the city is NOT cycling friendly despite what they claim. Ohio is also an increasingly red state so there's that. I like the large mix of culture and things to do but I'm definitely looking to live elsewhere in the next chapter of my life.

Does seem worth emphasizing that a car really is a must. The "nice covered bus stop" is maybe one of 4 that are like that. Most don't even offer a bench. :/
