I would certainly avoid mega cities like beijing, shanghai, shenzhen. Even though Guangzhou is also a mega, there's still good chance of finding pretty decent rentals in some less bustling districts. Also have to consider English is less spoken in smaller cities. Kinda have to find a good balance.

I am a Chinese Singaporean. Do you suggest I purchase the tickets for high speed train (HST) from ZhuHai to GuangZhou at the HST station or do I purchase it online? I am visiting Hong Kong in December 2024. How do I travel from Hong Kong to ZhuHai?

@@wongtt6712 if you haven't bought train tickets before in mainland china, i would highly suggest go to a HST in person. staff can help you out with your passport. I also heard first timers download 12306(train app) and get registered and then you can purchase online next time. I personally haven't tried that. In terms of HK -> zhuhai, you can ride a ferry or take the bus to go through hk-macau-zhuhai bridge.

I just took a day trip to Guangzhou and visited some of the same places! We are in the same area, so looking forward to seeing some of your other vids. Also a nice thing is that foreigners can buy high speed rail tix online! I like Railway 12306 because there's no extra booking fees, but the easiest for people visiting is probably trip!
