In this song Kalle Is only lip singing. But they did a song "Castrop X Spandau" together in just one day (and another day for shooting the video) where he actually sings.

James Shearman was the brains along with Tuomas who made these orchestrations and choirs come to life.. in the past albums Pip Willliams was lead in the orchestra work and then James joined him to help but now Pip is too poorly to take charge so James became lead orchestration manager on this album.. he says he decided with Tuomas to take a more modern orchestra sound with this album than on the previous ones and you can really hear it but it still sounds like the Nightwish we love. He uses the UK Sepian orchestra and some of the players have been in all the Nightwish albums since Once and requested to play in this album which I think is cool.

Lanternlight is breathtakingly gorgeous ❣️ Not able to listen to this with dry eyes, it goes straight to your soul. It’s so fragile and strong at the same time. What a gorgeous piece of music composed by Tuomas and so emotionally sung by Floor. Tuomas said that Lanternlight is a song of love to celebrate live of the people that passed. In this case mainly his dad I guess.

Gone is the hurt, the wait Gone is the warmth of day A stray boat saved Happy memories engraved On into a velvety night Beneath a lantern light Last night brought the heaviest of snows Melting the songs of old Tying the boat, write a new one soon Sending me to the drowning moon Far above a lantern light I'm in the light and flood I'm in the four winds I'm the waves, shaping pebbles, flawless gems I am the snow on your palm I am the secret stream Moss beneath your feet I am you who climbed off my back Not long ago A sheltered song In a world now gone Petrichor (= odour of rain on dry soil) The timeless Turn loose, the swaying boat Meltwater, sound of spring I hear our song now, sung by the free For a thousand more tomorrows Of an incomplete weave To the meadows, I go I'll be waiting for you Once upon a lantern light I walk now toward the trees I am the secret stream The night falling at my feet Into the forest of Yesterwynde

Chester is irreplaceable, but Mike is the reason for the music and deserves to be sore to go on with his band….. he shouldn’t be forced to suffer. Emily brings her own identity and that’s what they need, and other than a shaky first show she’s been great. What bothers me is all of the immature, hypocritical, toxic fanboys. They’ll put anyone on clay who criticized the shit out of heavy, and we see how that, along with Cornell’s death, ended, yet hear they are doing the same thing, while then assuming how Chester would feel about her, and doing the same thing that contributed to his end. That said, maybe I’m over analyzing this, but, I think the scream is a nod to Chester’s long scream, but to add to it, I think keeping it a second or two shorter Is also a nod of respect, knowing Chester can’t be replaced.

Don't listen to the Haters... They really don't matter. It's the millions that LIKE THEM that do. It's been a great couple songs so far. I'm buying the Album, and so thankful the band is BACK. It's not replacing Chester... It's moving forward without him. RIP Chester. Loved everything about him, but the band wants to move forward. Much love and admiration to the band, and EMILY IS AMAZING!!!

I'm not sure if Neal Morse wrote the lyrics to the song but if he did then I don't know why he would think Mars is ancient lore since he is at the beginning of times, or at least when the first human appeared but, then again, the main character is the last colonist on Mars in 2084. BTW, that's what's happening on the album, the main character gets into the Dream Sequencer that moves him from period to period in Earth's history (to events that happened even before he was born) and even one that ties the album with The Final Experiment

This song is pure beauty. Makes me cry every single time it starts. You're totally right. For me, top 3. Tuomas is genius, and Floor is his voice.

Please don't tell me you found out that they had an affair just now? Both the wife and best friend showed their guilt in Day One: Vigil (when she asked BF if he felt responsible), then confirmed that something was going on on Day Four: Mystery (when they were both inquiring if he saw them that day and if he knew) and on Day Seventeen: Accident? (when Reason said you saw her smile at another man that was a metaphor for he caught them in the act, probably kissing and hugging because then Reason said You saw him hold her in his arms)

Nice reaction. There are many who don't recognise the genius of this album. This track is very soon going to be displacing one of my top 6 and will make it a top 7. Maybe I have missed some of your content (YT seems to unsubscribe randomly so maybe I have missed some). Good to see your reaction to this
