Wow never seen anyone so ignorant to a craft. A bug missing its brain can figure out diamond painting. Do some research or see a doctor about how you are functioning without a brain 🧠

I really like the idea of iridescent, pearly and metallic watercolours but they’re expensive. Are they really worth it or could I mix a bit of metallic acrylic paint or markers and experiment with that as well as a ‘top’ layer instead?
@rebeccasartcoloringvideos780014 күн бұрын
Yes, they are expensive but you could definitely expreriment with different supplies. I do make and sell these paints myself so I know they are made from high quality ingredients, and there is a difference because they are more concentrated with no addatives to bulk them out like the less expensive paints. You absolutely do not need to use the higher quality stuff though, it's just a personal choice.

I was surprised on how wet you were using the watercolor here. Apparently I am unnecessarily careful with the amount of water I may use after 2 layers so big thanks, always lovely to know I can work for longer, wetter or maybe even with just 1 layer of ground when I just want to use the tiniest amount of water to just melt the watercolor media just a tiny bit. I would never use my Polychromos on top of the ground so it was also interesting to see that effect. It really is a nice look for some projects so thanks for that as well ❤

I got the Chromaflow pencils just to give something new a whirl. Im finding a few of the colors handy for sure. Bravo Derwent. Prismacolor needs competition. Its healthy for business to have a competitor on the same level. And to drive prices lower.

Great picture! I like the colours that you chose. Have you ever tried to do the big background by wetting a piece with water first and then dropping in the pigment? You get a more organic way of blending that way. It won't work for the metallics but def for normal pigments.
@rebeccasartcoloringvideos7800Ай бұрын
Yes, I do that a lot when using watercolour paper. It's just a bit tricky in colouring books with all the details. 😃🎨

I though the ground needed to cure for 24 hours? Your work is beautiful.
@rebeccasartcoloringvideos7800Ай бұрын
I dried it with the heat gun and it would have been ready to go then but the page was a little curled so I put it under some heavy books overnight to help flaten it. So I did actually wait until the next day but I think it would be fine to paint on without waiting.

I'm brand new to watercolor Rebecca, what does it do...sorry I'm such a pain in the keester.
@rebeccasartcoloringvideos7800Ай бұрын
@@Shannon5909 It kind of acts as a barrier to stop the watercolor seeping into the paper too much and making the paper buckle. Genuine watercolor paper has something called Sizing applied to it to create a barrier but colouring book paper doesn't.

It’s like gesso but for watercolours right?
@rebeccasartcoloringvideos780020 күн бұрын
@@gothic_light Yes it it, Jessica. You can also apply it to other materials such as wood etc, although, I haven't tried that. Apparently, it enables you to paint watercolour on various different surfaces.

Oh my gosh, that’s so beautiful! I was looking for videos showing watercolors used in coloring books and found you! How fortunate. I’m guessing the key to success is priming the page with gesso? I will subscribe and watch for more, since I enjoyed your thorough narrative. Thank you!
@rebeccasartcoloringvideos7800Ай бұрын
Thanks so much, glad you liked it. I don't think it's always neccessary to prime the page. It really depends on the type of paper. This was Watercolor Ground by Daniel Smith and I was experimenting with it. It does really help if you're using a lot of water. The only drawback is the texture is a little weird and inconsistent.
