Nothing except the engine brake failing, steer tire blowing, brake chamber failing, air bag blowing, another truck losing control and hitting you, someone cutting you off and hitting their brakes, rain, sleet, ice, snow, fog, high winds……there’s a thousand ways you could die on that trip. Windy day in KY , over a year ago . My hazmat placard blew off the trailer (blew it out of the bracket holder) RIGHT before the KY weigh station pulled me in ...got a full inspection and they put my trailer out of service they let me run down to truck stop to get some and return to apply them and then they let me go...with a hefty ticket , fought it , got it reduced but still got points for it 😢

Trainer being unecessarily mean. You can have your feet hovering near the pedals when youve got the engine set up for the downgrade. In fact its probably better if you do, as long as you dont touch either pedal during the descent. I say its better to hover because then you can react faster to something like a deer darting out in front of you. You should never just trust the truck to do anything by itself, you have to be prepared to take over control. I cant stand trainers who have no idea how to train. When youre constantly snapping at and talking down to your trainee like this, the you have no idea how to train.

I'm sorry but it's hard to feel bad for Prime drivers... Prime drivers inter bad situations as long as it benefits them (this is especially true with the lease program) but when it no longer benefits them they want to complain about it... it's like choosing to be with a single mother that has five kids... as soon as she cheat on you with the baby daddy... that's when y'all want to go on social media and complain about it... it was a s*** situation from the very beginning...😂 take your L on and move on to the next s*** situation...

I can say this after 30+ years in trucking; getting the endorsements on your CDL is one good thing to have, I have everyone on my CDL, now the important part is to actually gain that experience hauling those loads and that takes a company taking a huge huge chance on a driver, so the driver proving themselves at a company long before hauling any endorsement loads is just about critical.

I had to pay an extra $100 for an eldt test when I could’ve got my hazmat for free with my cdl permit before they changed the rules a bit

I don’t know about any other states but in New York if you’re applying for a CDL for first time, you don’t have to pay for the endorsements, it’s suggested you apply for all of them at the same time to avoid a fee after
