I love mechanics of Hoi4 and the way game plays but I really don't like ww2 games. So I always wanted to play some mod changing it but never did. Recently I've decided to try some and played Millenium down, kaiserreich and the Great War. Millenium down turned out to be super boring. I just sat all the time and did nothing basically. I guess it's for some specific people who likes to abuse mechanics in order to make something new. The Great War was quite good in my opinion but I generally enjoy to play smaller nations and due to nature of the time, most of small nature's didn't exist as they were colonies of bigger nations. So I simply couldn't find nation to play (personal problem, has nothing to to with quality of mod) Kaiserreich had interesting idea, a lot of text (its good in my opinion), a lot of internal politics and it was probably my favorite part but then on a grand scale i felt it's too repetitive and no matter how I played and which party took over it didn't change much. Internal politics (basically most of focus tree) had almost no effect on foreign one. It's definitely high quality mod and I enjoyed different paths of different countries but I didn't play any country past middle of 1940 because at that point I had already finished country story and all is left is to win the war and divide territory. I am sure people who play majors have different opinions and it's fine. . P.s. I'll definitely try pony one. I am not quite into this but I am down for anything other than ww2
