It's really unfair to say all kids that had mums with gestational diabetes will be fat. I was a healthy weight while pregnant, yet my blood sugars were through the roof, only in pregnancy, both pregnancies. I didn't "mess up" anything. I did nothing wrong :( My kids are a healthy weight. They eat healthy foods. They are active. I genuinely don't buy the narrative that kids from gestational diabetes parents will end up fat.
