Really cool rig! Can you still record internally to an SD card with the R6 Mark II while connected to a monitor via HDMI? I've seen people saying that the camera's LCD screen turns off or the camera disables recording whilst connected to a monitor.
@CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan

Soo I learned that about the R6mkii too...I had my external monitor already and was using it with a sony zve10. I waited a bit and bought a used atomos ninja v for $280 bucks. I'm slowly just learning all this stuff myself. So mistakes happen 😅 thanks for dropping your comment!

Hello Sir, We are using vmix for our live streaming. Is vmix enough to do the camera switching or we need to add video switcher like Atem? Thank you
@CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan
@CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan Ай бұрын
So a atem is also a capture card and a switcher. The question would be what are you using to bring your cameras into vmix? I use a elgato camlink which lets me bring in each camera separately and add them to my vmix playlist. The atem only let's one camera be used at a time. So I wouldn't think this is possible with the atem from vmix but I do think it's possible with script written for the atem.

I have a SmallRig Dummy Battery for the Canon E6NH. I've used it in both my EOS R and my R6 II. However, when I used it in my R6 II, I found that after using it for about 10-12 minutes, the SD card was rather warm - not hot - but warm when I took it out of the camera to see a test video, although I've not had the same issue when using the SmallRig in my EOS R. I was wondering if you have the same experience with your EOR R? Thanks for your anticipated reply.

When you use just any wifi there is no garentee. You need to test the speed yourself know the numbers and see if it's adequate. Upload speed matters more. Then is it 2.4 or 5ghz and how far away are you. It takes practice and time to figure things out. Hope this helps.

I want to find something positive about Vmix and really want to use it but I just can't find anything. I set OBS up for SRT with the OBSBOT in about 2 minutes and it just worked. No going into settings and ticking boxes, just put the IP into the source properties and BAM Vmix just make it all so complex with everything they do. Having said that, your video solved my problems getting it into Vmix and the latency is better than OBS so I guess that's a positive.👍

Good review here of the OBSBOT Tail-Air and it's newest SRT option. My use case would like a wireless SRT connection between the Tail-Air and video receiving device (laptop) in the same room, at least on the local subnet. Do you know if SRT protocol works over the Tail-Air WiFi radio and not just wired Ethernet ? My use-case: testing a hybrid in-person Zoom meeting that also includes remote Zoom participants over the internet. Very few in-person meeting hall venues provide wired ethernet, just WiFi. Ethernet at home is no problem, but WiFi has it's place at other venues. Thank-you, (subscribed)

So I'm really new at this but did try it wireless on my network and it worked really well. I do have high speed internet so that helps. Of course it's reliability will then depend on your wireless network. I really like wired POE just because then the camera is always charged. Thanks for watching.

My understanding is, SRT has been designed specifically for video/audio streams to an even greater extent than NDI. SRT is a hybrid of UDP and TCP network layers to address out of order and missing data packets more efficiently than NDI and certainly RTSP.
