Nothing too special. You'll first need to update your game to the latest version, then check out the DLC option from the main menu, and that'll redirect you to the Eshop. You may need to restart the game after the download. The DLC will unlock progressively as you go through the game's story.

Here's a breakdown of all Memory Quests for this story mission, with some tips for those who might want to do the same. Note that you don't have to complete all three side objectives in one go. --Guardian of Remembrance-- *Keep the health of Purah above 50%.* Purah is an important character throughout the mission, however she won't be actively targeted until after collecting the initial four energy traces scattered around the field. At that point, two enemy outposts will appear in the northwest corner of the map: these will periodically spawn Moblins to interfere with the charging of the ancient furnace as part of the story objective, and so they'll attack Purah who's next to it. Claiming those outposts fast is the key to keeping her healthy: doing so will stop reinforcements from appearing, and then you'll be free to clean up the remaining enemies around the furnace afterward. Be warned though that after a certain amount of time has passed, a third enemy outpost will open further south: this one will spawn Guardians, and therefore will need to be taken down as quickly as possible too. Once the furnace finishes charging, your base will then be assaulted by Astor, who comes with its Link hollows and an extra Malice Moblin. Defeating Astor will move forward the story and lock you into the final boss fight with Terrako, at which point Purah will be safe from danger. Note that you can help mitigate the damage received by Purah by sending one or more of your warriors to defend her location. If you ever hear Purah complain about her survivability, then it means her health has dropped below the 50% threshold, and likewise you'll have failed this Memory Quest. *Defeat Astor with Zelda.* This one is pretty self-explanatory. After collecting Terrako's traces and waiting for the ancient furnace to fully charge, Astor will appear inside your base. Simply make sure to deal the final blow with Zelda and you'll have this side objective in the bag. *??? (Collect Terrako's hidden trace.)* After collecting the first four energy traces around the field, Robbie will head east, looking for more potential traces hidden away. His solo excursion will however be stopped halfway by a Thunder Wizzrobe in the northeast; defeating it will then allow Robbie to unlock an outpost nearby housing an additional blue orb to collect. This one will be guarded by a Malice Lynel; dealing with the foe will allow you to claim the fifth trace, and so complete this hidden Memory Quest. Reminder that you'll have to do all of this while your base is under attack by Moblins, Astor, and possibly Guardians; it's therefore recommended to clean up the accumulating enemies either before or during the process. Make sure though to not defeat Astor until the orb is collected, as that will lock you out of the area. Also note that completing this side objective will significantly increase Terrako's attack power for the final battle against Mutated Ganon, making the fight much easier.

Here's a breakdown of all Memory Quests for this story mission, with some tips for those who might want to do the same. Note that you don't have to complete all three side objectives in one go. --The Princess and the King-- *Don't let any Hylian Captain flee.* Your first task on this story mission will be to save three Hylian Captains from their Moblin oppressors; you'll then need to keep them alive until the very end of the mission. The first two captains are located on Zelda's side of the map, and they'll mostly stick to the main road once saved; the remaining one on the King's side will follow you around through the enemy keeps as you progress through that area. Fortunately, not much can actually threathen them once they're saved: two Moblins will directly attack Zelda's captains though after capturing both outposts as part of the main objective, dealing with them quickly will be key to their survival. While not essential, capturing the keep behind the waterfall on Zelda's side would also help the lone captain on the King's side immensely, as it will stop the otherwise endless influx of Moblins coming from there. Once you reach your destination on both ends, you should pretty much be cleared for this Memory Quest, however keep in mind that the King's captain will follow you for the final encounter too. *Defeat the strong Wizzrobes.* There's four Wizzrobes to defeat in total on this map, two on each side. The ones on Zelda's side are both on the main road, and are therefore a bit difficult to miss. On the King's side, they're slightly more out of the way: one is just past the mandatory enemy keep on the southern peninsula, while the other is located directly to the right of the main series of keeps going uphill, itself guarding a long path to a treasure chest. Dealing with all of them should grant you this side objective quite easily. *??? (Block the monsters' path.)* After saving the three Hylian Captains, you'll then be tasked to capture two enemy outposts as part of the main story objective. At the same time, a third outpost will appear on the southern edge of Zelda's side, along with a steady stream of elemental Moblins on the King's side. To complete this hidden Memory Quest, all you have to do is defeat the three Moblins defending that extra keep. Doing so will prompt Zelda to barricade the entrance, thus blocking the monsters' path. This will also stop the unending reinforcements on the other side, so even though it's optional, it's really in your best interest to achieve this promptly.

Here's a breakdown of all Memory Quests for this story mission, with some tips for those who might want to do the same. Note that you don't have to complete all three side objectives in one go. --The Yiga Clan's Retreat-- *Defeat every Blight Ganon.* This side objective is pretty self-explanatory. Near the end of the mission, past the Silver Lynel, you'll reach a fork in the road: on the left is the story destination, and straight ahead are four keeps with two of the Blights patrolling them. Simply make sure to defeat them before proceeding with the story. Once you reach the end area, you'll be tasked with defeating the remaining two Blight Ganons, thus completing this Memory Quest. *Successfully use a Sheikah Rune to counter a Blight Ganon.* If this is your first time through the level, half of the challenge here is to find the Sheikah Slate, as you'll start with none. Following the defeat of the Malice Moblin near shore, you'll be locked in the piers area. Facing opposite to the door, head east until you see a blue luminous orb lying at the end of one of the paths. Interact with it to claim the Sheikah Slate and add it back to your arsenal. You'll then need to wait until the end of the mission to battle against the Blights. Sneak in one successful rune counter during that fight to complete this side objective. *??? (Don't let any ally flee.)* First off, I would highly recommend doing this one on a second run through, as you'll get to access to the Sheikah Slate from the very beginning of the level, making survivability for you and your allies that much easier. From there, it's only a matter of defeating all the targetable foes as quickly as possible, making sure your three assigned grunts follow you the whole way through. At one point, a Yiga Blademaster will lock himself behind a door to stop the monsters' advance, and a little later three Hollows will swarm your location, one of them coming from the back where your selfless ally is. In order to save that Yiga from imminent defeat, you'll need to immediately run back to the locked door, which should now open, and defeat the Hollow there. It's important to do this step before dealing with any of the front Hollows, as doing so first will cause the back ally to automatically flee. Near the end of the mission, you'll also get the choice to raid a few more keeps for extra loot; if you decide to do so, make sure to defeat all major enemies around the main goal beforehand: the last Moblin on the road is set to spawn only a few feet away from destination. If all went well up to that point, you'll get a special event upon reaching the story objective; splitting the squad on each of the two Blights then will ensure they can't join together, which should ease things up for the final stretch. If at any point during the mission you get the notification that one of your allies have fled, then you failed the Memory Quest and will need to restart.

You may notice I accidentally skipped over some new dialogue @10:00. I wasn't exactly sure if we already met that Rauru to begin with, and the second part starts very similar to the first, so sorry about the mixup. I tried to fix my mistake when I noticed it, but here's the full transcript anyway. As usual, line breaks correspond to a different text bubble, and each paragraph to a separate dialogue prompt. *Talking to Rauru, on a cliff near the Culinary Construct:* I love this view of the Temple of Time. I always took a moment to appreciate it whenever I passed by here. The Garden of Time was quiet. The only sound to be heard was the time bell ringing in mornings and evenings. It was as if the whole place changed at its chime. Especially at night, when the sound signaled the emergence of fireflies. Those were glorious times. I love this view of the Temple of Time. I always took a moment to appreciate it whenever I passed by here. The Temple of Time's time bell rang each morning and evening. Its chime was a constant in our lives. The best time in the garden was at dusk, when the fireflies would emerge.

For most of my time with the game though, it was only the bottom screen's UI that reset sometimes during missions.

When you were trying to smash the rocks blocking a hole with your rock hammer, you figured out the jump attack, but you just were not close enough. If you jumped onto the rocks (and not just swung from the edge of the hole), it would have worked.

I didn't know how deep the hole under would be though, so I was trying to avoid that. I came to the conclusion that I needed a bomb, so in the end I marked it for later. However, now that I look at it, there was a rock next to the spot. Maybe I could have swung it around with Ultrahand and break the rocks that way. Or just bring the minecart there and smash it with that.

You might notice I went over the "Zonai devices?" dialogue option for the second Maker Construct we meet in this video @16:51, expecting a repeat of the long-winded explanation we just got. It turns out its dialogue was a bit different, so here's a transcript of its lines. I also included the lines the first Maker Construct says when you ask it to repeat its explanation, as the wording is significantly abridged. As usual, line breaks correspond to a different text bubble. *Asking the Maker Construct next to the logs about "Zonai devices":* Yes. They are tools that we employ. Do you not know of them? They are necessities here. I recommend that you learn how to use them. Though I cannot teach you. I am occupied with figuring out how we can possibly make repairs. Ask the construct next to the fan for more information. *Asking the Maker Construct next to the fan about "Zonai devices" a second time:* Yes. This green thing is a Zonai device. The fan here activates when struck and can produce wind whenever you want. You may have need of them. The Zonai devices by the water are available for your use. One note of caution. Your Energy Cell will deplete while using a Zonai device. Rest assured that it will recharge on its own in time.

This is the perfect length of video for me. 228 recipes?!? Wow, that is a lot. I do like that you can view a food or potion item and see all the recipes you have already discovered for it - and if you have all the ingredients, you can just click on it to reproduce the same recipe again without having to rechoose all the ingredients.
@SquishGaming
@SquishGaming 5 ай бұрын
The aim for video length is always 30 minutes, but depending on each game and how they're structured, that time may go up or down, quite drastically for some games I'll admit. An open-world like this makes it fairly easy to stay within the intended time range. That is indeed a lot of recipes, but a lot of them are very simple, like each food item roasted, or frozen. It also includes elixirs. As for the recipe menu, I have yet to mess around in it, but from what I hear it's a very convenient feature to have around.

There's also a special line for listening to all of the construct's dialogue options, I included it here as well. Line breaks correspond to a different text bubble. *Asking the Culinary Construct about "Cooking meals":* Hold the ingredients in your arms. Dump those ingredients into a pot over a lit fire. There are no further steps. There are many potential ingredient combinations. Enjoy cooking. *After listening to every dialogue options:* I have explained all I can. I could repeat it if you want.

I noticed you had some trouble with the fusing ability to make a moving platform (so do a lot of people at first). One trick I found is to lift up the object and rotate it until the bottom of the object is closest to you. Then you can flip it directly up or down to make it level or flat to the ground. Hope that makes sense - ie. rotate it left or right until the bottom is closest to you then up or down to make it level. Then you can turn it left or right to make it face whatever direction you need it to go to hook it or attach it to something.

@SquishGaming

It was a greater challenge to help counterbalance the power increase of our warriors in the postgame. At this stage of the game, everything dies near instantly on Normal. Probably best for quick grinding, not so much for a video. You may have greater chances to gain better weapons at higher difficulties, but I'm not too sure about that. However, the Blood Moon variants do increase the amount of resources and experience obtained by a noticeable margin.

Hm, when playing the cutscene at the beginning goes by so fast I never noticed Link’s arm was corrupting as he was reaching for Zelda (yes, I saw what happened before that and that his arm is replaced afterwards, but never noticed his arm’s condition in the cutscene as he was reaching for Zelda). I wonder if that is why he couldn’t reach/catch Zelda? I was just assuming she fell faster than he could reach - but now I see his arm was withering away as he was reaching for her.

Looking forward to your playthrough of this game. This one and Breath of the Wild are huge that I am still seeing new areas and things to do as I watch more gameplay from others. Of course, this one has to be three or four times (or more) bigger than the one before it - with the depths, the caves, the sky islands - plus all the collectibles. 1000 koroks, more recipes, more unique marked locations and treasures to find. I don’t know how it compares to the amount of sidequests or main mission objectives, but it seems to be so much greater of a game without dlc than the previous game had with the dlc. I think the developers wanted to keep us busy while they worked on newer titles for Zelda and other series.
@SquishGaming
@SquishGaming 6 ай бұрын
Yes, this game is huge! Looking at the numbers alone it seems like they went a bit overboard honestly, but so far it's never overwhelming: there's still a nice pacing to it all, and at least in the early game, everything feels very rewarding, so I guess that's good. You'll be able to see the individual numbers by category once they get added in the video description's tally in the future, but in total there's about double the amount of quests than in BotW.

It turns out Zelda had more to say during the prologue as we ventured deeper in the caves below Hyrule Castle. These extra dialogues were unfortunately not captured in video as part of the playthrough, but here's a transcript for those curious about them. Each paragraph corresponds to a separate dialogue prompt, and similarly a line break means a different text bubble. *Talking to Zelda after passing through the room with the Zonai artifacts, up to reaching the Keese-infested room:* The ruins we're seeing down here... I'm certain this all must be from the Zonai civilization. I would never have dreamed we'd find traces of the Zonai down here in this forgotten place. Zonai... The very word has an air of mystery. The Zonai civilization comes up again and again in history books, but none really tells us much about who they were. One thing historians have been sure about is that the Zonai existed during a time of great significance... When Hyrule itself was founded. Given that Zonai ruins are right here, under the castle... Hm... It's strong evidence that the books are correct-the Zonai and Hyrule shared some sort of history together. I wonder what more we'll discover as we go farther. *Talking to Zelda after discovering the mural, up to reaching the ledge overlooking the Zonai altar:* I can't tell you how excited I am. The murals down here-their images support so much of what historians have written about. I find myself wondering... how did this area come to be so forgotten? Why was our history left hidden here? Did the royal family in those ancient times want this place and these murals to remain secret and out of sight? I can't shake the feeling that I'm missing something here. Why would anyone want to keep this whole area a secret? It can't be because of what's shown in those murals... I can only hope we'll find more answers farther below. The gloom is growing heavier as we go. It's more and more unnerving... I... don't like the look of this. But we must find our answers, Link.

Here's a breakdown of all Memory Quests for this story mission, with some tips for those who might want to do the same. Note that you don't have to complete all three side objectives in one go. --Battle of Goponga Village-- *Defeat 100 or more enemies with ice attacks.* Ice attacks refer here to ice rod usage, and to a lesser extent the use of the Cryonis rune; this objective therefore asks you to use these tools as much as possible until enough enemies have been defeated. It may sound easy, but these items come with drawbacks: they can only be used to their full effectiveness in water, which is strangely sparse on this map, and the rod's ammo is a rather limited resource. As such, you should make every opportunity count by using either of these attacks, especially the rod, whenever you find a pack of enemies in water near your position. Keep in mind that a depleted rod can be easily recharged by defeating one of the Ice Wizzrobes lying around, and if you're out of good options for easy KOs, it's also always possible to use the tools outside of water: their range of effect will be significantly reduced, but it might just be enough to finish off the Memory Quest. *Don't let any Zora Captains flee.* There are a total of four Captains to take into account for this side objective: two of them you'll need to save at the very start of the mission, one stays near Mipha, and the last one is in the western keeps: this one will only start taking damage once the area unlocks. For the most part, these Captains will lead the way to each of the main objectives, and are fairly sturdy: as long as you don't let any of the main targets hang on for too long, they should all come out fine at the end. Potential failure points would be right after Mipha gets to heal the first three Captains: enemy reinforcements will charge right at them at that time; these enemies need to be dispatched quickly. Another moment to be careful of is when the final wave or reinforcements appear: along with the mandatory Lynel to the east, two Moblins will sneak in to the west and start meddling with two of the Captains. Defeating these Moblins should give you peace of mind for your final fight against the Lynel. Since Mipha is mandatory for this mission, remember that you can also use her special attack to heal allies in a wide radius around her anytime you need to. *??? (Defeat the strong Wizzrobes.)* After Mipha's healing of the Zora Captains, reinforcements will appear, along which two of those strong Wizzrobes to the east and northwest respectively. Easily seen on the map by their rod icons, they won't move from their original locations, so it's simply a matter of carving out the time to reach them between the rest of the mission's events. All other targets for this Memory Quest are mandatory KOs for the main mission, so once you have these two sorted out, the side objective should complete itself naturally.

I have been watching your channel for a while now and want to let you know that I absolutely love your content. I’ve been playing Zelda BOTW for a long time, Hyrule legends on 3DS and Hyrule Warriors. So coming to your channel is refreshing. I look forward to more 👍🙌
