Another master build good sir, like I told you the other day, thanks again for this. Started trying the challenge like an hour ago, so far I've done 5 tries, and managed to get to Sephiroth in all of them, with underleveled materias, mostly Swifcast cause it takes a lot of grind. Still, the first 4 rounds are easy peasy with this build, just need to improve the timing and decision making in last round, managed to survived the first octoslash but the MF started with another shadowy chain and I didnt have time to cast firaga. Anyway, its a matter of time, just need some pratice and Gotterdammerung will be mine 😂😂

100% finally done! Thank you so much for this guide again! It was perfect to follow along! Not skipping the walking in the second playthrough and in the resetted scenes really helped to save time! And you could just play while watching the video. Also telling us to look at the screen for the important choices was really helpful as well and woke me up from my daydream from time to time when it was necessary! Great guide, great voice (you should start reading audio books for real!), great humor! It was a fun time despite all that tedious path to 100%. Couldn't have made it alone. Finished my first playthrough in 20 hours a few days ago, with normal combat & hard puzzles (bought the game on December 4th during steam sale lol) and i've concluded that it's one of my absolute favourite "one time play" games ever, next to Resident Evil Village. I plan to 100% all the achievements like I did with RE8, so thank you for the efficient guide fam I appreciate it! I really took my time inspecting every detail I could in the first playthrough, so i'll write some of my (and other people's that i'm friends with) cooler findings below, if you or anyone else is interested in little story details; they're details that aren't very well known. feel free to ignore if you don't care: vv -When walking through the halls just before you enter the apartment room and start the abstract daddy fight (the hall where you have to read about the house fire and murder), if you listen carefully behind the locked doors, you can hear 2 men whispering to each other. If you stand in front of the door or press against it, one of them will shush the other and they both go silent -Every dead body in the game that's strewn about is actually just James' model -Laura has James' same crooked teeth pattern & same hair and eye colours -Some of the characters in the game have peculiar deformities. Maria/Mary both have a short middle finger (shorter than their pointer finger, you can see this in the stillness ending when she touches his face or when Maria touches his face behind the cell she hums in), Eddie has a short flat nose and an underbite, and Laura has abnormally long arms. -James' hands tremble in his idle animation when he interacts with the red squares when saving. His face also gets angry after attacking things and his eyes twitch & blink a lot before going back to a neutral expression -Ever wondered why the achievement you get for killing Maria is called "that part of me" ? It's a reference to the SH2 novel, when James realizes Maria is his anima (feminine side) before he kills her -In Heaven's Night, when you're about to exit through the door, if you look up you can see a sign that says "KISS" right by the giant mirror. But if you look at it through the mirror's perspective, it spells out "SICK". Also, Maria's hair is black in the mirror reflection, at least it was for me at the time of playing (it's also black in other reflections, like on some shiny cars) -If you look up at Maria's dead body after the double pyramid head fight scene, she's smiling in a creepy way -There's a photo of the Brookhaven personnel and Mary is standing all the way in the back, in the middle. It's one of the wall photos. It wasn't like that originally, but I did something and then came back to it and they were all there -When James wears the dog mask he also wears a dog collar lol -In some notes that you read, when you press whatever button you keybinded to write what the paper says in clear font, James sometimes purposely leaves out words from the original text. For example, there's this one poster titled "Remember", and tells you to contact a healthcare provider immediately if you experience any of the symptoms. One of the symptoms is "guilt", but he purposely leaves out that word from the list when you go to read it in the clearer font even though it's not obstructed from sight There's many many more little details like this but I won't write an essay in the replies, it'll be borderline spamming at that point lol. tldr, the devs put an insane insane amount of care and effort into the nitty gritty details

After 7 hours of trying to get to the fortune save in the big boss run I've given up, the conveyor C4 is never at the place it is in the video, even when I've got up to the top faster than shown in the video it still never shows up, every time I've tried the guards have ended up waking up and catching me, even tried hitting them with trancs again to keep them down (and also need to reset due to lack of guard check in, BTW that DOES NOT reset the bomb position), so this platinum can go and screw itself, I'm not replaying from the tanker guard fight to strut e just to fail anymore.

Switched things up to your guide, and turns out Sephiroth was the real problem, relentlessly shadow-chaining poor Barret. RNG disaster. But after a few more tries... BOOM!
