You can beat the Hydra in 1 to 2 turns with Fairy Stone item on your fastest character (to cast Sleep) and a Thief equipped with Falcon Blade using Persecutter. Soooo fast.

@@CriPPleR_HD i can kill 1 pretty fast, having it on Show No Mercy, probably the same speed as somebody taking their time selecting commands. Problem is its not consistent, even worse with 3. Faerie Stone isnt even guaranteed to land as ive tried it, plus for a character strong enough to kill them quickly and to learn Persecutter etc, needs to be strong, by that time, do you still need to farm...... I see all these guides, use skill X and ability X to kill them instantly etc, but we're farming in order to LEARN those skills!!! Im farming just to learn the abilities and spells, im not worried about optional farming above that ;) would be interesting to know, EXACT exp you get per exactly 10 minutes at each location, didnt really bother working out the exact number myself

@@Optinooby speed will be determined by the players goal. You skipped a lot of battles for the sake of the guide which is understandable. With the party you currently have your way will most likely be best. But if you have been playing the game normally, you will be mad strong. I am playing on the hardest difficulty so it forces you to learn ability, item and spell synergies. Strategy: Hero uses fairy stone > Sage cast Snooze > Theif cast Persecutter, Warrior can do whatever. This = dead hydra. Between stone and snooze sleep is pretty reliable. Will time it tonight.

Hey Opt, do you know more or less how many hours the platinum would take? I've seen people say 30, 60 and even 90 hours, I have the game in my backlog and I'll play it when a trophy guide releases, thanks for the videos.

For this series, a few videos left. Though the series will be about 10 hours, i wont be shoi g all the farming so altogether platinum will be a out 15 hours as an opti.al approach. A general individually unique approach will always be VERY different, as you say, 30, 60, 90 hours etc, how can this directly apply to someone, it cant because its completely random if you play in the same way as them or not! This is why i like to deal in absolutes, easiest, fastest and most optimal way. This way you know exactly how optimally it can be done and then can better gauge your own playstyle from that base foundation. A random 30, 60, 90 hours isn't really that helpful

If you want every job with EVERY skill mastered on 4 party members POST game only its going to have your save file over 60+ hours I started the POST game around the 45 to 50 hours mark ON Dracky/can't DIE mode and had 3 Non Hero's with every skill/spell usable after 45 to 50 hours.

Congrats on beating the game!!! You're almost free now!!! Yayyy!! 🎉🎉! Even tho I kno you already beat it like 4 days ago 😂. Still, it is now official that you beat it! Hahaha, omg, I can't believe they just put like 2 random weird tile panels on the floor in that one room? Why 😂? That's so random and pointless? I also couldn't stop laughing that you just walked on the electric crap instead of the dumb weird tile panel thing for the chests 😂. Way to show them how pointless those tiles are. Blahblah I kno that you're playing on easy but it is still funny. Yeah that grind spot of 3k sounds way better. People don't know how to mindlessly farm lol. That hydra just takes way too long. I guess that's why the hydra cast sleep 😂. It knows it is boring af as well. If I'm already sleeping over 1 hydra, I would go into a coma over 3 😂. Zzzzzzz. If you read a romance novel to it, you'll just be stunned instead 😂. Now that you mentioned it, I wanna say Earthbound Zero/Mother 1 does the exact same thing with enemy lines. It has super random lines too. Stuff like X enemy just grins and bears it. I did mention the games are very similar. You should play Mother 1 after you're done with DQ3 just to relive a similar DQ3 experience again :P. Do you plan to play more of the mainline DQ games in the future? While you can't DIE on Dracky MODE I'll NEVER hit lv 99 from lv 50 ANY JOB class or Hero only via the king hydra's they take TOO long to kill and the FREE healing point is 2 floors ABOVE the King Hydra floor which doesn't help if you use up ALL your MP just to kill a SINGLE one.
