Kind of a false comparison. In terms of ancient figures who set off their world's journey, i think Minato and Roger are better for that. Minato and Roger both do something in the first panel of the first chapter, and that thing leads to the main character and everything he does. And the answer to that is Roger.

This was a great video. Roger is a goat in his own right but people surprisingly downplay Hashiramas influence in the series.

Hashirama directly impacted the resurrection of Kaguya who was going to take out everyone in the world and destroys universes… he was also instrumental in stopping that from happening… Roger starting a treasure hunt comes nowhere near comparing to this 😂

I didn't mention this in the video: The Naruto world is made of a supercontinent similar to Pangea, and the 5 nations alongside the nearby nations make most of the world, we don't know the true size of this nation or the world of Naruto but we can safely assume its roughly the same size as ours. The One piece world in comparison can be tens of times larger, but its covered mostly by water, you have huge nations like Wano, Alabasta, Dressrosa and Totto Land, which are between 2100 to 4000 km diameter, we're talking strictly about the major islands, it is not clear how many of these are or if the other islands are similar in size, but let's just assume that the totality of land in one piece far exceeds the one in Naruto, we could give extra points for Roger for announcing the existence of One piece, but even if we double that, it is still not gonna be enough to beat Hashirama in terms of influence, saving the world twice made too much of a big difference

The question is dumb, one created the entire reason a series exists and the other is just the first leader of what is now the strongest village in Naruto. God of Shinobi or not, he is just the first hokage. Absolutely goated hokage might i add.

Rogers influence was special because his time was so short yet he accomplished so much without any hacks or broken abilities, just sheer will power.

If they reference something you're unfamiliar with.. like "Network" or "All That Jazz"... your generation has instant access via the thing in your pocket to more information than any other in the history of mankind. And yet, you get annoyed when you dont get the reference. Just look it up. Jimmy's a movie geek.. hes been referencing movies since he first appeared in Breaking Bad. You're gonna get more of that.. cause that's who he is.. a boomer who grew up on tv and movies.

Tbh the hardest part is getting through the pilot. I tried getting into it twice when it first came out but I kept zoning out and losing interest with the pilot. It doesn't do a good job at reeling you in and making you want to know more about these people. The second episode is where it picks up but you have to just pay attention to the plot of the pilot as best you can and just hang in there so that you fully get what's going on when the second episode starts.
