Hello. If there is a small hole in the top centre of the cover then you need to use a needle (or similar) to push into the hole. This will release the cover. If it is an older remote (with no hole) then the cover should just slide off.

I can’t get the eve app to connect to my new roller shades after it scans the QR code. It tries to connect and then eventually says unable to add accessory. Accessory is not reachable. I even tried holding the shade program down for like 15 seconds and then tried over and over again and still no success. Any ideas? (WiFi and Bluetooth are on).

Can the battery be replaced? What's the cassette depth? Can I mount it so that it doesn't collide with the window handle when mounting it inside the window?

The cassette depth will depend on how much fabric you have around the tube. However, the depth of the brackets is 61mm. To avoid window handles we suggest ordering the blind as forward roll as shown in the video. If you have a very small recess, then avoiding the window handle may not be possible.

@@gzoechi Sorry to miss that question. No - the battery is within the motor so it cannot be replaced. All of our motors have a 5-year warranty but generally speaking they last much longer than that.

@@DecorquipLtd Thanks for the answer. I understand that that's the case because of size restricted. I have 3 smart locks and a spare battery. So if battery is empty I exchange it with the spare one and connect the empty one to the charger. It's conversation but I can live without.

@@gzoechi These blinds can be recharged in situ with any USB-C charger. Generally, takes a few hours to fully charge.

Hello John. Unfortunately, this is very difficult to do without stripping the headrail down completely and possibly adding some extra parts.

Hello - your only option here is going to be a ladder of sorts to access the port! We would usually discourage customers from opting for rechargeable blinds in these situations - hard wired/mains powered would be better. We do offer a solar panel that would give battery blinds a trickle-charge. However, there are some drawbacks. Please contact the reseller that you purchased these blinds from to discuss.

How can you tell the chain needs replacing but not something else that stops the blind working? Is there some wear and tear of missing links that shows

Hello Anna. The chain will only need replacing if it has started to rust (very rare), if it has snapped (again very rare) or if you decide that you want to refresh your headrails with a different colour chain. If you’re blind is not working, it is more likely to be a problem with the mechanism in the headrail or with the cord drums.

After taking the material out of the bottom bar to cut off a few inches which had got stained by mildew, I worked out what to do, but not how to do it - an excellent demo thanks. It will take me longer than you, but I'm now confident I can reassemble this as I have tools which will do the job and can use my workmate to use as a clamp.

@@LTCDRRAZOR We have tested these with 8mm rods. Although the cutters are capable of cutting the rod, you need to use a much higher amount of pressure to get through the rod which isn't really possible by hand.

Hello - unfortunatley this is not an easy task. You should be able to prise the ball open using a small screwdriver and then some pliers/snips. You may have to end up cutting it off. Once you have removed the stopper, it may not be able to be reused.

All ball chains are like that, you can cut and splice them anywhere. You just have to make sure the pliers matches the size of the ball chain, both come in multiple sizes.

Helpful. Our package didn't come with instructions to install the brackets and what instructions did come were not very easy to understand in the pictures. For example, the remote "button" on the back isn't really a button but needs a paperclip to operate. Nothing something the instructions points out, but your video demonstrates it. Can the remote be programmed for one of the channels to operate both blinds at the same time? I would like to have channel one operate the left blind. Channel two to operate the right blind and then channel three to operate both at the same time.

But how do you get the plastic ball stops off if they're already on the chain without breaking the string? I broke my plastic chain trying to get one that is clasped to 2 balls. No instructions from the company. I had to jerry rig it myself.

Not the best demo video I have seen. Too much background noise. And the operation of a huge industrial machine was not explained! What on earth was he doing and why ? Not the sort of thing to do at home kids. No mention of how to alter width of blind if that’s at all possible. Could do better
