How to set up and program an Eve MotionBlinds Roller Blind

Helpful. Our package didn't come with instructions to install the brackets and what instructions did come were not very easy to understand in the pictures. For example, the remote "button" on the back isn't really a button but needs a paperclip to operate. Nothing something the instructions points out, but your video demonstrates it. Can the remote be programmed for one of the channels to operate both blinds at the same time? I would like to have channel one operate the left blind. Channel two to operate the right blind and then channel three to operate both at the same time.

Where did you buy them from? Does it require a bridge?

I can’t get the eve app to connect to my new roller shades after it scans the QR code. It tries to connect and then eventually says unable to add accessory. Accessory is not reachable. I even tried holding the shade program down for like 15 seconds and then tried over and over again and still no success. Any ideas? (WiFi and Bluetooth are on).

We now have a 2nd generation of these motors that will work with Google Home, Smartthings and Alexa. However, you need to have the correct Thread border router for each system.

Yes. At the moment there is no Android app for Eve

I'm sorry but this is a decision from Eve and not us! They are working on an Android app but I haven't heard of a launch date as yet. the Tahoma app will only work with a Tahoma Hub and Somfy Motors. Eve motors will not work with a Tahoma hub or the app. Hope this helps.

I should also add the you can use something like the Google Home app, Amazon Echo app or Smartthings app to control Eve motors from an Android phone, however, you will need a Thread border router.

Can the battery be replaced? What's the cassette depth? Can I mount it so that it doesn't collide with the window handle when mounting it inside the window?

The cassette depth will depend on how much fabric you have around the tube. However, the depth of the brackets is 61mm. To avoid window handles we suggest ordering the blind as forward roll as shown in the video. If you have a very small recess, then avoiding the window handle may not be possible.

@@gzoechi Sorry to miss that question. No - the battery is within the motor so it cannot be replaced. All of our motors have a 5-year warranty but generally speaking they last much longer than that.

@@DecorquipLtd Thanks for the answer. I understand that that's the case because of size restricted. I have 3 smart locks and a spare battery. So if battery is empty I exchange it with the spare one and connect the empty one to the charger. It's conversation but I can live without.

@@gzoechi These blinds can be recharged in situ with any USB-C charger. Generally, takes a few hours to fully charge.

Sorry for the delayed reply. if the red light is blinking there are various things that it could be. The blind may not be unlocked or it may be low on charge.
