Did you leave the easiest job (replacing the hood strut) for the daughter?

At least you had people admiring your car. I go to shows in my 69 nobody comes close and if there’s a video I’m never in it. At post office guy and his kids came up to look and ask questions. He said I see you at the car shows. I asked why didn’t you come over then. He said “ I'm with my Chevelle club, everyone knows you 69 Camaro guys think your better then anyone else”.
@hammersgarageКүн бұрын
😲? What the heck? Never heard that before, funny. Well next show you to go put a big sign in the windshield saying “I don’t think I’m better, come on over”! lol

Mechanics who really love their daughters make sure they buy used Honda Civics! (I'm joking, but I REALLY think a Civic is much better than a VW)

Wouldn’t be a car show without the “boomer boards”. The shiny car guys wish they could be secure as us patina guys but let’s be honest… that will never happen. I watched your whole build series on the Ratmaro. I love it

Ok, look . . . . I'm conflicted about this channel. First of all, I'm a Ford guy, and you appear to be a GM guy. So there's that. I guess what I'm saying is that while I don't particularly enjoy watching you work on rusty pieces of GM crap, I do get satisfaction from watching you solve problems (or not). And I'm also comfortable with your sarcasm, self-deprecation and wry sense of humor. 👍 Rock on! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I know you’re attached to 😮it bro, but I feel like the best thing you could do for the Ratmaro, would be to remove that god forsaken cow catcher bolted on up front! 😁😁

Always use ac delco filters they’re designed for that motor. Trust me on that.

It’s obvious you know more than mechanics that work on these motors every day I agree with you on other parts of the vehicle, but not that motor. Some people have to learn the hard way. Some of these other filters actually filter better and that’s the problem restricted the flow of oil. use the AC Delco on the oil and fuel . had a whole fleet of trucks that had Napa gold filters in them had problems with the oil flow GM got involved and found the problem. The filters restricted the flow of the oil had to change to the AC Delco to solve the problem they were designed for that motor.

There great little beaters I had one that i put 250,000miles on and I had purchased it from a customer who had bought it in for brake pads and rotors and just simply couldn’t afford to pay for the repair and said that I could have it for 400$ so I bought with 160,000miles on the odometer and added 250,000 more on in the time I had it

Man I loved our EOS. Mrs Middo decided that it was going to be her "Mid Life Crisis". (I don't buy cars that go fast, I buy cars that go ANYWHERE) The Australian-spec EOS came out with a 4cylinder Turbo engine. Well, I did a lot more driving back in those days, and I've never had as many speeding tickets IN MY LIFE! Sauerkraut Rocket doesn't begin to describe this little bastard of a thing. And the women I used to have to drive around somehow thought it was *my* mid life crisis. No thanks.... I like to get dirty. And tow big shit.

Good stuff man, thanks for the review. I only realized after buying the pads that Power Stop packages them with drilled and slotted rotors, so I was worried that they might not like smooth rotors. Glad to know they'll work well and I'll have less dust to deal with.
