It only has 50,000 horsepower. How be it??? This is NOT the most powerful ship.

More than enough for this kind of ship. Oil tankers aren't designed to be fast. Why? Because a ship that enormous size being fast would *burn too much fuel* . And ships burning too much fuel makes them less profitable. It could still travel at 16,5 knots (30,6 km/h or 19mph). When you consider that electric scooters are limited to 20-25km/h and city traffic usually moves at a slower speed during rush hour I'd say that is fast enough for something 2/3rds of a million ton heavy when fully loaded. Also, back in the late 70's when this was built the only ships more powerful were nuclear reactor driven aircraft carriers. This is diesel powered. There are more powerful diesels today, sure, but not 45 years ago

Beautiful animation. I have loved these watercolours since the first time I saw them in the Hong Hong Maritime Museum, and combined here with narration and an explanation of what is happening at each stage of the process makes this an excellent introduction to the study of porcelain-making. I am recommending it to all our docents and members of the Southeast Asian Ceramic Society.
