「可持續發展世界: 極地航運與開發」國際研討會活動回顧
全球暖化為北極航運業帶來了新商機，但同時也對業界和環境帶來了潛在風險。 香港海事博物館和Climate Change Adaptation Planning for Ports, Transport Infrastructure, and the Arctic（簡稱CCAPPTIA）早前於8月13日合辦的「可持續發展世界: 極地航運與開發」國際研討會不僅促進了跨學科的討論，還啟發了北極航運發展的新想法。
當天本館太古海洋探知館為北極航運與發展議題，提供了一個國際性跨學科的交流平台。會議期間，來自不同國家的學者就環境、網絡安全、郵輪產品、保險、燃料性能等多個主題分享了他們的觀點。

“Arctic Shipping and Development in the Contemporary World” Conference Recap
Global warming has brought opportunities to the Arctic shipping industry, but it has also brought potential risks to the industry and the environment. Co-organised by Hong Kong Maritime Museum (HKMM) and the Climate Change Adaptation Planning for Ports, Transport Infrastructure, and the Arctic (CCAPPTIA), the “Arctic Shipping and Development in the Contemporary World” held on 13 Aug not only facilitated cross-disciplinary discussions, but also inspired new ideas on Arctic shipping.
HKMM Swire Marine Discovery Centre provided the platform for international, cross-disciplinary knowledge exchange on various topics of Arctic shipping and development including environment, cybersecurity, cruise products, insurance, fuel performance, etc.
