I started playing yorick and I’m 1 trick playing him top and jungle. Every game I’m getting better. I’m bronze tho learning the game still. Went 4-0 in jungle and it felt like the easiest jungle experience

Nerf Yorick

Slogdog, I've cooked up a build i've been running recently with a fair amount of success in the toplane. Use it against bruisers and tanks. Runes - Conq, pom, alacrity, last stand, magical footwear, approach velocity Build - Eclipse, liandries, terminus, then 2 situational - shojin, rylais, sundered, death's dance, maw and steraks are all options. Boots are situational, late game you can swap out for zephyr Explanation - Yorick ghouls are too nerfed to the point that statting them up matters, so you just abuse every item effect and base damages. Eclipse and Liandries give max health damage in spades which insta proc, and terminus levels these up with the mixed pen, while also giving more attack speed to abuse maiden max health damage more, AND the magic pen makes it once again much stronger. Shojin doesnt proc on ghouls anymore but its still useful to amp maiden damage and ghoul damage, which both work well with terminus' mixed pen. Rylais is a must for 1v3s and champs like tryndamere, and the classic bruiser options for survivability, wtih maw being extra good cause it now gives omnivamp again. Conqueror giving you healing on this damage, the health from liandries and the resists from terminus, makes you surprisingly tanky. And more importantly, you have enough damage to lob ghouls at an adc and half health them, and the moment you gap close onto them they will die in a matter of seconds. I've yet to face a bruiser matchup where these items don't at least let you contest the 1v1. Seriously, try it out, it feels somewhat like who Yorick used to be.

Personally I would rework him to be MORE minion reliant: → Major Ghoul Changes: make them less bursty and more chunky, perhaps scaling with Yorick's HP and Resistances. Each ghoul killed gives like 1 minion worth of bounty. Ghoul damage heals Yorick. Make that so you gain Corpses killing stuff and can store like 10 maximun and can summon them with Trinket slot or an Ability, this way you can have ghouls ready for any situation. → Yorick can use Q on a Ghoul to kill it, restoring HP and denying the gold (very important). Maybe make that using the ability this way partially refunds CD → Move Maiden to his W. You need like 10 corpses to summon her. You can fully control her by pressing W, like Annie and Shaco does. Maybe make so that you can heal her by spending Ghouls → R is a buff to your currently spawned Ghouls, Yorick, and Maiden. Also you gain full Corpse stacks and can summon Maiden, but they won't be buffed. A nice tradeoff of having stronger minions + having a backup plan when you're alone I don't even play Yorick but i like to theory craft designs lol 👍👍 Aside from that I think would be fun for Riot to add aura items to buff your summons

I have the same feeling about Illaoi, i love playing around tentacles (don't get me wrong) with high damage builds or even tanky builds with hearthsteel stacking on clone, but her most viable builds are just unga bunga spam W, because any tentacle shenanigans get hard countered by movement and ranged characters. She stomps melee champions for free which is unfair and is utterly destroyed by any ranged champion, she's inconsistent and it's annoying as hell to play. So I stopped playing her, I love her mechanics but she seens out of place in the game
