Love your channel but this vid wasn't good. Felt like 2 minutes of useful rune info and 10 minutes of shallow platitudes like, "I play a lot, I win every lane, I don't always always split" with unrelated gameplay in the background. If the goal is to be educational it would be nice to have actionable advice. Explain (generally) when to be aggro in lane, what mistakes your opponents most often make, what spikes are you playing for. I get it's a complex game and a lot of it comes down to intuition but when you don't mention specific things that got you to top 10 it feels like I just spent 10 minutes listening Shia Lebuff telling me to just do it. Again love your channel! I'm hoping this criticism is received as constructive.

@@guitar2935 Very fair criticism, I do agree the advice can be just too general but at the same time, a lot of the these ideas fall in line under the concepts that I see is hugely problematic when I coach or watch other yorick players. it’s just 3 main ideas of not losing lane, being flexible, and mechanics pushed to the extreme to the point where I can get to this point. The thing about these ideas I express, I admit they are overtold and over said in a lot of other videos, but because these are basic fundamentals they open up paths and ideas for other complex stuff. For example, in terms of mechanics, let’s say you poked a Cass to half hp and their sitting under tower and ur full HP. If your not confident in ur mechanics, and you dont go for dives often, the problem is that the play in itself isn’t even an angle towards the player, it just becomes invisible unless A. Someone else notices it and tells you or B. You get the mechanics and confidence and from that the skills to do it. I’ll give another example flexibility. I stress the importance of using the whole map and not tunneling on splitpushing, because just this simple branch of thinking, oh i dont need to split necessarily, can lead to so many various other plays. I think this one is a but special because almost every Yorick player cant even imagine a world where they dont permapush and just this simple idea of hey u can roam u can flank and tp, alleviates one of the most common difficulties and problems that yoricks face where its like “im stuck on sidelane??? What do i do?” I completely agree this is simple but im also specifying it towards a niche group of players of yorick. Ty for the comment tho i will definitely work to give examples in actual games just to kind of show off ideas

@@slogdogs I think it would be nice to have a video focused on general ideas for laning in each matchup (by general I mean not focusing too much on itemization since that can change for every patch). and when it comes to aggressive playstyle, some tips on how/when to dive would be good, speaking for myself I struggle a lot with diving

How viable are other playstyles (eg bruiser (not trifocre, ew), maiden drop, etc..), in your opinion? Are there any good tips for other positions? Autofill is a thing, but dodging is boring.

all the other playstyles are viable and u can play them to challenger, and other positions are really different. for example, in jungle matchup barely matters because your not competing in a 1v1 with the enemy jgler, ur just competing with better macro and plays across the map. mid is a mix of like having to have good mechanics so u dont get shitholed in lane, but also you have a lot more macro availability throughout the game because you are in the middle of the map. i would not recommend bot or support yorick but hey if u wanna go for it
