Hi e4 suggests the system may be short of refrigerant. We suggest that you contact your nearest qualified refrigeration technician.

Legend mate. I'm in Colorado and it's 97 fahrenheit today and I couldn't get my units working until I turned off the power outside and the circuit breakers inside. Waited 30 seconds, everything works and I'm basking in the cool flow as I type! :)

Hi if the display is cracked and the display has been affected, it's probably best to contact your nearest Daikin dealer and request a quote for a replacement wall controller.

How do you set the timer so that they unit comes on and goes off each day at a set time? We have set the on and off times, for each day, however, we cannot see how to ENABLE the daily timer?

Hi U4 commonly refers to a communication error between the indoor and outdoor units. Best to have it checked by a qualified service agent, however this will generally suggest replacement outdoor printed circuit boards and fan motors.

To set the themostat to use the return air, do I set the code to 1b 5-02 and then select the indoor sensor?

Hi the system is factory set to sense from the Return Air anyway, however if it has been changed to the Master RC (Wall Controller), you should be able to press the "SEL SENSOR" and toggle to "INDOOR SENSOR". Once you've done that, press "FIX SENSOR". This will now be sensing from Return Air.

How to change zones on Panasonic ducted AC system

Our 14kw ducted Panasonic has died 5 x in 7 yrs, it only gets used in summer occasionally- what utter garbage!! We’ve been left sweltering so many times only to dig deep and pay lots of money in repairs and then wait for the next breakdown! . The latest thing to die is the main control board for the outdoor unit, replacement part is $1380.00! Which is the cost of a Mitsubishi 2.5 kw bedroom sized split system supplied and installed! That’s just daylight robbery for a circuit board. Panasonic hold you to ransom basically with their crazy ripoff pricing. Our $12000.00 Panasonic ducted has been a NIGHTMARE from about when the warranty ran out and now we’re considering scrapping it and opting for a better brand of split system AC at more expense to us again. We seriously regret ever trusting Panasonic for our ducted AC system.

Hi Jason sorry to hear that you have had such a bad experience. We've been selling Panasonic now for approximately 8 years and the issues that we've had, you could honestly count on one hand. You've been dealt a hard blow, sounds like a lemon.

@@Morphettair Hi mate, yes I’ve always been a Panasonic advocate but apparently the quality has nosedived since they started manufacturing in China although I think they’ve realised this and are now moving manufacturing back to Japan. Since fitting the new control board it’s a completely different machine! but we expect to have further issues in future based on past experiences, maybe not but either way it’s been a frustrating and costly decision going with Panasonic unfortunately and our next AC brand will obviously be influenced by this terrible experience.

That did the trick, thanks! I got an E1 which is faulty communication between the indoor and outdoor units. I turned the AC off at the meter board and back on again, and now it's working.

I wish these units actually told you the temperature in those sensors. Or the airbase app told you or even allowed you to change sensor from app.

very nice. al tho 100 flares later and it starts messing 1 in 3 flares. pegs get warn out and can no longer hold the pipe in place

Hi mate have you adjusted the Allen grub screw on the front of the unit? It’s a + or - adjustment which will adjust the tension grip on the pipe.

I agree with @bertibaus - same issue. Teenagers putting on the aircon and then forgetting about it so it runs all night. Is there a way to set the óff' function to be permanently set?
