When she screamed I thought Webb was going to slap her. Isn't that what they did when women screamed in 1950-Yadda? Didn't have to be a dead guy either. Could have been a spider.

at the end they completely washed over the act of vehicular homocide. i mean the guy was guilty of more than just hit-and-run. he killed 2 people! now, the mystery is will the clapper-caper ever be solved?

I had never seen this one before. Jack Webb was sooo good playing Friday. This one tops the later one where Joe shot the guy in the laundry room. Dragnet '67 S2 E2 "The Shooting Board". I loved the reveal at the end of where the bullet from the robber's gun was hiding. One of the investigating officers has a great line! " Take a good look Joe. It's been hiding a long time."

"The Big Little Jesus" S3 E 17 (aired Dec 24th 1953 ) was remade for Dragnet '67 "The Christmas Story S2 E15"(aired Dec 21st 1967) Four actors in the remake reprised their roles from the original [Dragnet (1951)] episode. Along with Jack Webb, both episodes featured Harry Bartell as Father Rojas, Ralph Moody as Mr. Flavin (pawn shop owner) and Herb Vigran as the hotel desk clerk. Both also had the same main title announcer - George Fenneman. There was also a version done when Dragnet was first on as a radio series.

Along with the show Highway Patrol , Dragnet was the best for period scenery, vehicles and fashion. So cool to watch, still gives me a thrill. Dragnet Radio Show is my favorite to listen to to go to sleep.
