My two favorite colors! Glad you enjoyed the video. Happy Thanksgiving!

Love this video! You explain it so well! My favourite colour is yellow - the warmer shades. I tend to always gravitate towards the warmer colours. I only wear black to evening business events or funerals. Blue, for me, is the colour I wear when I have a meeting with the bank :-) But having seen your video, I think I'll try to incorporate more blue in my daily wardrobe.

Thanks so much! Love hearing your color thoughts. I think the trick with any color is to find the shade or tone that works for you.

I love this idea. I really resonated with the 'can't decide what to wear and eventually end up wearing the same outfits' over and over. I do have to mention you are pronouncing the word taupe incorrectly.

I would like to recommend more books but that might send anyone down the rabbit hole.....There are some very good books out there waiting to be discovered. I am a metric girl but I use books like Armstrong's for reference. It is a great book and every time a new edition comes out, I have to get it.
@twingytwango69716 күн бұрын
I was looking at pattern making books and I like reading the feedbacks too. That second book did not come highly recommended so I went straight to Harumi Maruyama books for something different. Skipping that book wasn't too hard for me because I think I have all the pattern making books ever printed or close to.......😀just joking....

There are so many great pattern making book! I agree! I did add that Sarah Alm one because I think it’s very focused on home sewists and a bit more approachable if you’re used to using sewing patterns. It has some great fitting tips and adjustments too. Feel free to add any book suggestions to the comments! I’d love to hear your recommendations. Happy sewing!

Love this video! I’d say what helped me a lot in defining a good colour palette is learning about seasonal colour analysis. Once I figured I’m a true autumn it gave me a lot of confidence in narrowing down on “my colours”. Even my wardrobe looks more cohesive at a glance. Always look forward to your videos. Please do one on building a wardrobe for hot weather (I’m a Londoner in TX😅)

@SewPomona7 күн бұрын
I totally get that. I try to go narrow when I start and then add in more as I go. You can do a very broad color palette- just try to keep the colors cohesive. Happy sewing!

Rebecca, about the CB of the crotch curve, should be 1" down from the hip line? on pant, we are using such in a way to reduce the shrinkage.

Rebecca, thank you for sharing. Do you have a standard measurement of Legging form size 4/girl-kids/ to Plus Size(the maximum) one please?
@SewPomona15 күн бұрын
Hi! I think I replied to you about this a few days ago? This a draft your own pattern based on your personal measurements. If you are looking for a sewing pattern I'd suggest Jalie Patterns. They have some great leggings patterns that are multi-sized. Hope that helps.

Hi Rebecca, Love your outfits. I often leave hems unfinished - it really enhances the fall of a jersey/ bamboo/modal garment. BTW I did my second Masters in my 60s - so it goes to show one is never too old. You will shine in your new job - congratulations and well done you. Re the stains in the re purposed pants - I think you will need to try a very very diluted bleach mix with water or stain remover prior to dying otherwise the stains will look darker in the finished garment. With love Francesca❤
@SewPomona15 күн бұрын
Thanks so much Francesca! That’s reassuring- Well done on the Masters! Thanks for the tip for the stain removal. I’ll definitely try that. Hope you’re having a fantastic weekend!
