I did mine exactly like that one and water comes out through the top

Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for the tips! I feel something when I squeeze, but I wasn't sure of the tiny tiny little hard bit I felt was considered pollinated or not. A couple of them feel bigger than the rest, but still like 1/4 of a peppercorn size.

It's cheaper on the electric bill to use an air pump with air stones than to run a pump 24/7. Granted I don't know what size of pump you are using. But you should have explained your setup with more details.
@SaludaGradeFarm18 күн бұрын
The pump is only 200 watts and it aerates 5000 gallons. Pretty inexpensive for the 500 heads of lettuce I get per week from it. I use a version of these in all my systems just because of simplicity. The only airstone I use is in my seedling flood and drain. I just didn’t want to spend $1000 in a high powered pump and dozens of air stones. I opted for $100 pump that also adds circulation and has lasted for years.

Can i connect this to my main water pump of my hydroponic nft system while it pumps water to the channels or do i have to connect the venturi to a separate pump ?

You need to narrow the 45° section of air pipe because you're restricting too much water. A pump will burn out much quicker

How deep is the water in the pool?
@DrumFilterRau2 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing! A drum filter could make things even easier. It works automatically, keeping your pond clean with almost no manual effort. It’s great for filtering out fine debris, and it uses very little electricity, costing only about half a dollar a month. It’s a reliable option for anyone looking to maintain a healthy, clear pond.

@SaludaGradeFarm2 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear that, Your pump might not be power enough, you may have it too deep in the water, or you may need to adjust the depth of the air pipe in the tee. It needs to be almost to the bottom and closing off the tee

@SaludaGradeFarm2 ай бұрын
No, but it helps in the dead of winter and the heat of summer to keep the roots from rotting. I’ve had a lot of experience with root rot and have learned when it shows up. Not a problem when your water temp is between 50 and 75 👍

I watched a guys video with a greenhouse that had a swamp cooler inside. And immediately thought of just a fan with a mister or 2. So this confirms it will work if I build it. Even the sun alone burns my peppers and makes them poor producers. I get nice looking plants late spring and fall mid September to late November. If I can over winter my peppers and start tomatoes early awesome. Hopefully keep the temperature in the pleasant range. So I purchased a cheap hoop house to give this all a shot. Even hydroponics doesn’t work when it gets hot. You have to run a water chiller to keep the plants happy. Thanks for the information.

Funny enough I'm going through the same thing in qld Australia 96.f and we are in winter The temperature swings are what are hurting the most
@SaludaGradeFarm2 ай бұрын
Thanks! This has low views but most watched to the end so far, should’ve had more fun with it but then itd be like the other 100 videos that never got posted 😂 Yes temp swings suck, destroyed my tomatoes this year, I’ll try to explain some more about the environmental issues in the next video.

Whats the deepest that thiswould work,
@SaludaGradeFarm2 ай бұрын
This will work to a depth of about 10-12” depending on the strength of the pump and size of the aeration. Most of the time they venturis are set very shallow to get the most oxygenation/flow. Plus it causes a wake on the surface which also increases dissolved o2. I will say the circulation it adds is nice.
