Been planning to use my mom’s broaches (she passed 12 years ago) plus a bunch of other jewelry she and her sisters (my aunts) also left behind into a Christmas tree. This is beautiful and inspiring to me. Thank you for this video.

Nice video very informative but hot glue is a bad idea for these trees. As it ages, hot glue cracks, yellows & turns loose, it takes a lot of hot glue to hold pieces on the cone. Use a glue with outstanding strength which dries clear.

Those are called floral pins, in case you want to buy some. A search for greening pins gets nothing.

Great idea, the light are too gold color, maybe a cold lights color, some twinkle and no ornaments. Other than that beautiful

You can make a pen loop from duct tape. Or buy a ready made from elastic and a sticker. BTW, this bag is not structured, except in this particular version. They puddle to the ground.

Stunning! I didn't even think about the fact that this could be done without hot glue. I'll have to invest in some greening pins. First time viewer from Australia, here. My local craft group has set a challenge for our members to make one of these trees this year. I can't wait to get started.

What a fun challenge! Good luck and I hope you have success with the greening pins. They were handy for me when I was able to temporarily remove a piece of jewelry this past Christmas and then replace it after wearing to an event. Cheers in Australia!!

Great review. Are you still enjoying the Delsey hardside? I am trying to decide between hardside or soft. Plus zipperless or with. Any suggestions?

Hi Lisa! Yes, I’m still using and loving my Delsey. As a matter of fact, I’ve added to my collection! While my hard-side case isn’t perfect, as I outlined in the video, the pros outweigh the cons and I’m very happy with my Delsey purchases. I think k the question on hard vs soft-side really comes down to how you expect to use. If you will be doing a lot of air travel, I think a hard is the best way to go for durability. But that’s not to say a soft case won’t hold up; it’s just more of a risk. Good luck with your decision!
