The chair is designed so that if you wanted to recline back while sitting at the desk, you could. They had those chairs when I went to Rutgers in the early 2000s (I went to Douglass College, and graduated in 2005). I had some friends of mine who went to Livingston College (before SAS was created)…one lived in Quad II, and the other one lived in the towers.

Lol I started Rutgers the same year as you but I never dormed. I wish I did though. I especially liked the river dorms. You have a very nice lighting setup. I’ve always wondered, however, if that one light on the ceiling is enough to adequately light the room? Lol 😂 I’m a lighting nerd

I don't have a clue why KZbin suggested your video, other than they may know way more about me than I care to think. I went to Rutgers many moons ago and lived in Hardenbergh too. Only thing that I can see that has changed is we had doors on the closets and the furniture was metal. I lived in the same room for three years and loved it, it was a great spot.

Hey Aaron: I know this is 3 years after this video came out 🤣 but I have a question about admissions. I am a junior in high school and am planning on applying to the business school. I am in-state but plan on living on campus and currently have a 4.1 weighted GPA and an 1180 SAT. No ACT. What do u think about my chances of admissions?

When did you change your major and did it take extra time to graduate?

I changed my major at the end of sophomore year from business to neuroscience but it didn’t take any extra time to graduate because I made sure to take summer and winter classes to catch up

@@yasmin90s I think neuroscience is a great major. There’s a lot you can do with it because for lots of jobs they just want someone smart and motivated. I’m currently working at an electronic heath records company as a project manager and so far it’s a great job. I did the non research route but both are good. Research route is more geared towards health sciences imo

I just accepted a job offer as a project manager at a big healthcare data company so my plan is to work for a bit first and then consider more school after I’ve got some work experience. I’ll have a video out on work soon!

Definitely- There's pretty good bike infrastructure in New Brunswick and if you google it theres a pdf out there with a map of all the bike racks, covered and uncovered, and bike lanes. I used to always ride from CA to Cook Doug and Busch for classes

Most of the dorms have communal bathrooms. If you're in a suite or apartment you'll have your own for your room but that's usually only an option for upperclassmen.

Got an interview for a graduate program this week, the only turn off is that it's at the Newark campus which seems like a rough neighborhood, your thoughts on the Newark campus?

Hey Christopher, I haven't spent too much time at Rutgers Newark but from what I know the campus and area directly around it isn't too bad. Newark is definitely a mixed bag with rough neighborhoods for sure but if you're near the University during the day it should be fine. Good luck with the interview

Although some schools are not requiring this year's applicants to submit a GMAT score, folks should keep in mind that if you're a strong test-taker, you could arguably be at a little bit of an advantage over other applicants if you do take the GMAT and submit a score that's above the school's median score for last year's admitted class.
