You don't never show the actual location of the water pump.Just the timing cover and power steering.What drive the water pump,is it on the inside under the timing cover?

The right side is the passenger side. You are doing the left side transmission mount

You totally left out the hardest part of the whole job, that eighteen millimeter bolt over there by the a c compressor which is almost impossible to get to

Recently purchased a 97 3.5RL for our daughter. In the process of getting everything fixed up for her and ran across this problem. Wheel was way too low. Just wanted to add: 1. Loosen the 12mm nuts x2 on the back of the mechanism (engine side). One is stacked on top of the other on one bolt. 2. Completely remove what remains of the white plastic gear w pliers. 3. Use a decent quality flat head screw driver to turn the criss-cross metal wheel. 4. Facing the steering wheel, turning the metal wheel clockwise will make the steering wheel go up. Counter clockwise will go down TIP: if it's very difficult to move, it may be locked out in that direction. Try turning the metal wheel the other way. TIP: use the sides of the mechanism for leverage against the screw driver. Place the tip of screw driver to the left (to go down) or right (to go up) of the metal wheel at about a 45 degree angle. Push the handle of the screw driver away from you to get the metal wheel moving.

They don't give instructions for just the expansion valve, and it sure looked like the only way was to take apart that entire dash, which they rate as an 8.8 hour job, which means it would take me at least 12. But the more I looked at it, the more I thought this has to be accessible from the firewall. Thank you for confirming that!

SOME PEOPLE ON THE AUTOZONE REVIEWS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. WHY IS THAT? I AM WONDERING IF THIS JOB CAN BE DONE WITHOUT REMOVING THE STARTER AND MANIFOLD
