One of my favourite videos, as I’ve watched this a dozen times. I have the same bike and have done all the upgrades, aside from the exhaust. I’ve owned mine for only one year, but was unimpressed with its performance. I shipped the ECU off to Ivan’s and have installed it. Unfortunately though, I’ll have to wait for the snow to melt before testing it out. I’m certain it will be an entirely different bike from what it was. Thanks again for a great video.

Honestly i think you should do whats best for you. Ultimately you only need to please yourself. However a lowrider st would be fun to see on the channel. Personally tho sometimes pleasure has to trump investment return. I have a bike a bought new n pounded miles on. The enjoyment i get trumped resale and its my go to of the 3.

@ANONYMOUSBIKERUSA dear Lord no! I own a dr650, I was just trying to convince ya to change your mind! Lol! No way would I take a beast like that off road! I'd bet it's amazing as a street machine though! You got five more cylinders than me but also the weight that comes with it! Great bike no doubt but I like taking side roads and dirt paths! Besides I'm in an area where there are plenty of back roads and they don't exactly have very good pavement for a cruiser.

That looked to be a fine day of riding some nice roads with beautiful scenery. Now as for your title to this video, I wouldn't call it lucky. You put in the time and research and planning prior to your exploration of new roads to travel. Those dividends always pay off. Myself on the other hand just kinda fly by the seat of my pants. Loved the video and seeing you enjoy some excellent roads! Keep riding and discovering and stay safe ABUSA!

I think you should do what you should do! But if it was me I would keep it, for two reasons, one I'm a gold wing, Honda fanboy!...lol two I'm not a value-driven person. I don't think return on investment. It's a motorcycle I think about good times and good rides, for me value doesn't come into the picture. Stay well and as always blessings to you and your family, happy holidays.

Its a great "performance bagger" themed HD stock bike... Anyone that has built a performance bagger knows you're way better off buying a standard RG and build it with the real aftermarket stuff and ahead $$$$. I dig the CVO ST, but hardly a "performance bagger" though the resale if you dont fugg with it will be there.

the suitcases arent detachbale which makes you too big to drive between traffic, the k1600 can detach and become more agile. The off road that I like cant be done with this bike, and I love it since a kidd, like I do with the BMW Gs.

Well you know my stance... old school, little to no tech, no bells and whisles... Did see the new 2025 Suzuki DRZ4 will be fuel injected... going to be curious to see how that turns out after the bike hadn't been changed in over 20 years. wonder if the dr and xr will follow soon.
@theadventurousrider12 күн бұрын
So if you can trade it or trade it plus money i'd say the pan america or even just the AT. I know you got the RE for the single track stuff but with the AT or pan you have the option for the DCT plus it's give you the 10 day trip or touring with even being able to go do offoad trials at the same time. If not that get something old school like a shovel head or iron head... dang i sound too much like saddle tramp there..🤣🤣
@jgoogleheim888012 күн бұрын
If you like the GW DCT trade yours in for a new one. According to Southern Honda Powersports they sell DCTs 16:1 over manuals so the DCTs are very popular. Check out what the 50 year anniversary model has to offer. If you are tired of the GW get another make and be forewarned that you will eventually get back on the Wing ha ha. Keep on riding!

I have a 2017 Harley Davidson Road Glide Ultra. I’ve owned several Harley Davidson’s and this is my favorite so far. I say, just ride your ride, get the bike that you love and enjoy the ride! I must say, I have never ridden a Goldwing. I know Harley Davidson comes out with a lot of retro model bikes, it would be nice if Honda would do that to the Goldwing, say the first generation look. That would be a cool bike! Thank you for the video! Be safe out there.

Too much tech ruins the skills needed to ride a motorcycle at its full potential. Most of us with me first are riding our bike at least at 50% of their capabilities… My GSA has everything you could imagine tech wise. On the other hand my RKS has just what a bike needs… Love em both for these reasons.🫡🇺🇸🌵

At 64 years old I'm not into the electronic monitoring of everything from ABS to shocks to cornering adjustment.... Fuel injection, shaft drive and no ABS. I'm not into the looks of a Janus type bike even if it's a modern engine. But I would like to see something like the Honda Sabre 1300 make a return. I guess the Shadow style is my choice for a cruiser. But I really liked the Victory Gunner. Too bad they're gone. Your Scout is a nice little cruiser too.
