I live in the N.E.I fill the tank a little over 3/4, then gas treatment . I usually pull the battery and put the bike off the tires . Then spray it down with PB Blaster, then the tarp over the bike, tie everything together . yeap, my bike stays out year round .

what kinda bike ? NE has some brutal winters !
@jd93083 күн бұрын
I ride year round. About the only winterizing I do is attaching a full windshield on my Scout for those really cold temps. I don't own any heated gear but I might break down and buy some heated gloves. When my fingers get to freezing, well that makes for some miserable riding time. Other than that it's layers and wool socks. I'll probably not ride when the temps go below 45. I'm just not a fan of the cold like I was in my younger days. Loved the video and discussion! Ride those motors ABUSA and stay safe!

Sure I winterize... Depending on the temp long underwear, heated jacket & gloves. On the cold, long trips heated insoles. If it's really nasty cold I'll put on riding pants to give me another layer against the wind. With all that it can feel like a summer day.

I've always disliked these bikes being compared directly. The M109R is a muscle cruiser. The Rocket, like the Vmax are hyper cruisers. Never cared for the whole push the pegs out a few inches and you can call it a cruiser argument. It's like the McLaren F1 vs P1 or Dodge trying to call an electric car a muscle car. It's not even the same ballpark.

i've. ridden both. Both tremendous choices. GTL obviously much more power but higher center of gravity. Wing is so smooth and feels so light. amazingly nimble for its wheel base and weight. I don't understand how an 1800cc six cylinder engine makes 125 horsepower. That's worse than most car engines. "Durr it makes a lot of torque." No it doesn't. It makes about a third more torque than my 1200cc twin.

@@ANONYMOUSBIKERUSA The GoPro never shows how steep or high things are, LOL! But we know - that looked rough! Especially when it's wet dirt or mud. Thanks for the tire input! I need to get better tires for my Himmy this next year. I am also looking to do a speed upgrade on it. I sat on the new Himmy - SO heavy for me. You'd love VT! We have more dirt roads than paved roads here.
@ANONYMOUSBIKERUSA9 күн бұрын
@@LindsayComer-c9v Really? the new Himmy felt heavier? that's interesting b/c they claim it's lighter. I wonder if the center of gravity has changed on it b/c of the new motor it has. hmm, I can't wait to try the new one. What speed upgrade are you doing? high perf air filter with a TEC cam? you can also upgrade the sprocket to help with more pull as well. options are there. The 411 is SO reliable and has no issues, this new 452 is a new engine so it's a concern on any first run of anything. I also like the 411 retro dash! Vermont I'm sure is amazing! MOTOZ makes a few different tire versions for our bike, so check them all out for your terrain you'll be riding most! Thanks!
