How would you compare these to using say Nam Ren 11'6" #6? I'd imagine better in wind at least and should work with 8-9wt singlehand coastal lines. Or what I was planning Vision Hybrid with clear intermediate tip.

For the life of me i cannot tie a stoneclinger im actually happy with. I always think the heads crooked when its not or if it is its barely noticeable. The legs or tail suck or i cant get the wing case to look clean. Im using nymph head evolutions clinger heads but theyre hard to find even online and I cannot for the life of me find black ones of any size. Which sucks because smaller black jigs and medium to large black nymphs seem to do the best where im at

Hi mate , although this is a great technique, it's been fished in the west coast of Scotland in the sea lochs for decades by very old wise ghilles for sea trout salmon and brown trout! They tie a muddler head on a a plastic tube then a fly of your choice behind it !! The muddler head creates a brilliant wake and the obviously the fly catching pattern works a treat , this version has just been fished as a deeper fly , so Scotlands old wise ghilles came up with it long ago , sorry to steal the thunder 👍👍👍🏴🏴🏴
@NordicAnglers2 ай бұрын
Oh we are well aware that the technique had been used around the globe, in various ways! :) This specific system has been fished for years in Finland We haven't just seen much like it in Denmark :)

I’ve been fishing the ULAs since they were introduced. I had phoned the company because my old Lamson 3 had disintegrated. They told me they didn’t have any warranty on the old Lamson’s since they bought the company., but they didn’t want me to left with only a broken reel. They offered to give me half off on the new reel they were launching. It was a huge discount on a very expensive reel, well above my budget as a young man. Best buy I ever made. I have that reel and have collected a few more ULAs since. They’ve been all over the world now and have never broken or failed me. Such a great company and such a great product.
