FPS: 68.4 Score 1723 MinFPS 34.3 MaxFPS 146.8 My CPU model: Windows 10 12 GEN tail core I 7-12700K (3609MHZ)x12. GPU model: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 32.0.15 6636/intel(R) UDR Graphics 770 32.0.101.6129 (4095MB) x 1 I have 64 MB of ram. Not sure what a good benchmark is for Iracing. Please reply.

I believe it’s an iracing issue, I’ve had the same system for two years with no stuttering problems, i swear this just started after a big update about 5-6 months ago.

Do these setting work in Graphics, if not can you do a graphics video.

I've spent a lot of money trying to get the feeling of realism, wheel hubs , 3 hubs led to me getting my DD. It's a huge difference but still isn't realistic, so I invested in monitors trying to immerse myself. When I couldn't ever figure out exactly how to get all 3 to project 1 picture I bought VR. It's awesome but it has a very long hangover effect, now I'm using 1 curved monitor. LOVE THE VIDEO! So nice to know that I wasn't the only one out there saying something isn't right. Good Sir you sure are right. Can't wait to try it out, huge noticeable difference on all of what I seen in your video. I just wish basic tasks on a computer was as simple as knowing what to do when the green flag drops! Thank you

Nope. That didn't fix it for me at all. Currently practicing for Daytona and the stutters are driving me mad. I get the first one leaving the pits. Then another going through the horseshoe. Then the third usually as i enter the second horseshoe. Some times there is one through T6. But the worst is when I get one exactly on the apex on the busstop entry. This is driving me mad. i can't race like this and I am runig out of ideas.

you don't need any of this camera changing stuff.. just calculate fov and angles correct. monitors level and eyes in middle. done. 26min video for that idk

Disabling the throttling in task manager netted a few fps. I don’t have an ultra performance mode though

Its a track bar wrench Track bar manipulates the position of the wheels to help the driver with the cars handling during the race. Wedges are actual rubber wedges that fit between the coils of the spring in the suspension and affect how much the spring can compress in the turns. Then when you bring tire wear into the equation, you have three different elements that effect the handling of the racecar. Which is why they have so many pit stops. They're constantly adjusting the components to help the car handle better for the driver. Racing isnt just about making left turns! Its a long game of chess for the teams. Whoever gets their car handling the best, while making the fewest mistakes will find themselves in position to potentially win the race with a capable driver.

IRacing noob here. I literally installed it last night and playing for my first time today. Using the MX5 cup. I followed this video and adjusted up to the point of Orient X. I haven't fixed the warping issue yet. But the car is still feeling slow. You hear the engine going up in revs but it doesn't feel like the car is moving any faster. Is it my settings or the car is just slow? I also tried the BMW M2 and though that's a faster car it still seems like the image is slower than what it should be. I'm using 32" triples, width with bezel is 28", distance is 23" from my eyes. The calculator said my fov is 144. That being said, in the MX5 the head bolster blocks my view of the right mirror. Though that might be how it's supposed to be? Help please!

I have rarely seen a bloke make a bigger deal out of a simple method combined with ye old control panel dribble where there’s not a single piece of information that’s useful. Everybody just leave your control panel how it is… you need to touch nothing. He knows that most of the people that come to this video are champing at the bit to fiddle with something I guess it provides the comic value of how seriously he takes himself..

Hi! That was a really good video! I understand why FOV is important. I’m currently transitioning from the usual 110 FOV to 83 on a 32:9 curved monitor. Driving feels pretty uncomfortable at the moment; I still need to get used to it. For now, I’m overbraking every corner. :D Unfortunately, I can’t bring the monitor closer than 77 cm, and in a few weeks, a new base will arrive, which might force me to move the monitor even a bit further away. I find it strange that even a 4-5 cm difference in monitor distance changes the FOV a lot. However, I often move my head forward and back by that much during racing. My head isn’t always tilted back as it was during measurement. Is it possible to be a bit more flexible with this, or is it really as set in stone as many KZbin videos make it seem? The lack of uploads lately have confirmed how much of a waste of money iracing is. I’ve moved on to all the other games that compete with iracing……. Much better value in my opinion with ACC AND AB2 The culture of iracing is dogshit.

Another thing about dirty air is it forces the field to spread out and leaders to get to lapped cars quickly on a 12 or 13 second lap. One of my biggest annoyances is the pro series where the entire field is running within 6 seconds after 20 laps of green flag racing. Make the leaders get to lapped cars and make people have to search around. Everyone running in the one preferred groove on top of each other is boring.

Guy talking about fps while this video has like 10fps, and the dudes iracing setup is based on pure picture quality not the fps. How can i take this serious?

First of all, thanks for the video. I have been struggling for months/years with an issue in iracing: when a driver connects to a session, I have a stutter at that exact moment. I tried enforcing all the limits of the CPU in the BIOS and it seems to be solved (wow). I tried before, hundreds of settings, undervolting as well. I bought a 4070 ti super and the problem continued... So I was sure that was somethintg related to my 10900k. I need to do more testing, but it looks like, the key for me, was enforcing the limits of the cpu. In a near future, I´ll buy 78003Dx. For iRacing, it seems to be the best cpu, avoiding this kind of issues.

RTX 4080 here. I had no issues until the 2024 season 4 update. According to the IR forum threads am not the only one so I think it is pretty much an iracing software related issue

Thank you! I've never built a setup. Simply following this guide and building my foundation made me a tenth faster than the iRacing's Fairgrounds setup. I'm going to be even quicker once I tweak it for a long run or a qualifying run.

How do you remove the panel on the drivers left side. I hope that makes sense, but basically the panel so you can see the exhaust? Do you have to remove it in trading paints?

Very interesting, turning up my settings and doing that compression change to 0 it helped a lot. I did turn off distortion and heat haze and MSA setting as it make visuals worst for VR in my opinion. What I was not expecting was a major drop during night races with those settings.
