@@achyutkotte6151 thanks for your question. This is a bit of a complicated one, your car would have to be setup, pre wired for it, there is also additional computers, sensors and other components required. It’s not just a mater of checking a box unfortunately. Once everything is installed, there may also be different software required for the gateway that would also require purchasing and no doubt only able to install and setup with Toyota OBD software the likes of TechStream2. Quite honestly the cost of which would make me cringe. It would be a significantly cheaper option to install an aftermarket system which would not require new wheels either. The sensors screw onto your valve as caps. The factory style sensors are installed as opposed valves drilled into the wheel from factory.

I’d be very careful ironing a hood lining material as it is bonded to a thin foam and the fabrics are typically a nylon blend. After a couple of days the fabric settled. The lines were more from the foam being compressed where it was folded. Once the foam relaxed back to its form, it smoothed right out. You’d probably be better off rolling it up or hanging it on the clothes line for a couple of days.

You have I believe 3 seconds to complete the sequence which doesn’t sound like much but is actually plenty of time to get it done. @GrantFixes
@GrantFixes 3 ай бұрын
I beg to disagree, polishing removes the contaminants but leaves it open for more sub damage. A good quality 2K clear automotive paint is UV stable. It will last as long as the clear coat on your cars paint work or longer. I’ve been doing this for over 20 years and can guarantee you it lasts. I’ve polished lights and treated them with waxes and even ceramic coatings. They only last at best a year or two before they are worse than before. A lot of headlights have an acrylic protective coat on them that doesn’t last and here in Australia with the harsh conditions we have, it delaminates and will need to be removed. I encourage you to research the paint if trying it to ensure it is a UV stable clear.

@GrantFixes
@GrantFixes 9 ай бұрын
It depends on several factors. The quality of the wrap is a big one. The type of wrap, Mattes and metalics are particularly susceptible to sunburn. Whether the car is garaged or in full sun all the time and how well maintained it is. You can expect between 1 and 5 years before it starts to show signs of fatigue. A lot of wraps can be treated similar to paint and a ceramic or graphine coating will make them last significantly longer.

Engine mounts can go at anytime and for one reason or another some cars have more problems than others. It’s easy to diagnose with a second person. Just apply the park brake firmly and watch from the side of the car in case it creeps as the driver accelerates in forward and reverse. Not a lot of throttle is required. A slight vibration at idle is usually felt also and can give a mis-diagnosis if an engine misfire. I believe the car in the video had mid 100 thousand ks. The mount rubber is typically what gives. Check that first and see how you go. Clunky changes can be a few other things and most of them a bit more serious. For example, a torque converter or even transmission failure. Also make sure your transmission fluid isn’t low or burnt smelling. Good luck, I’d be interested in hearing how you go.
