I have one installed , can’t get steering wheel controls to work. Any ideas?

Have you programmed the controls on the head unit? Every head unit has a programming sequence and most you select the function to the button you pressed. The facia kit decodes the can-bus signal and has link wires that may need to be cut depending on the brand of head unit you’re installing. If everything is connected correctly and you can’t perform the program, the facia may very well be at fault. I really don’t rate this facia quite honestly. Let me know if you get it sorted or if I can offer any more direction

@@GrantFixes I've tried programing the controls. How would I know which link wire to cut ? I think this could be worth looking into.

@@michaelyoung98 the instruction manual will tell you which colours to cut dependant on the brand of system. Pioneer didn’t require any to be cut but Alpine and Sony do. I can have a look and see if I can find the manual to let you know. What brand system have you installed?

It’s a Chinese one. Not sure which brand. Android version 12. Everything else works great

@@michaelyoung98 you may have to try different configurations with those wires to see what works. No doubt it’ll work, they typically copy someone for most components. I do a lot of Chinese Android systems. I’d be interested to hear if you get it working and which configuration it is.
