Maybe it’s just me but the running lights under the headlights seem like they are on the wrong sides? Shouldn’t the shape of the white LED match the headlights?

Are you going to do a single tune, or the multi-tune set up 94-95 6.5s can run that Quadstar Tuning sells, for the new turbo? Personally, I'm learning towards the multi-tune for my 95 Burb I just got once I do everything I'm planning on doing. In a few of the FB groups that you posted it in.
@jetboatmayhem7271
@jetboatmayhem7271 2 ай бұрын
Great question! I haven't gotten far enough on that... single tune would be simple but ill have to look into that multi and see the benefits! Thanks for mentioning it.... but either way it's getting tuned for sure! Heck yeah!
@PNW_K5DIESEL
@PNW_K5DIESEL 2 ай бұрын
@jetboatmayhem7271 Definitely needs a tune to run a better turbo. Heck even the stock turbo benefits from a better tune but different turbos require different fuel. I love the benefits of a multi-tune myself since you can run different power levels depending on how your using the truck plus can have a tune just for fuel mileage. With the multi-tune depending on exactly how much you want to spend can run anywhere from 3-8 tunes. Quadstar is currently redesigning the multi-tuner but it should be back around the new year.

Seems to me you took a turd...& made 2 turds. This was such an endorsement "NOT" to buy one of these Grizzly machines. A lot of effort to fix a factory built defective machine.
@jetboatmayhem7271
@jetboatmayhem7271 3 ай бұрын
@bruceang82 I dont think that's the case. For what I do, this setup works very well. And It didn't cost that much to do and I learned a lot. I can now machine some pretty heavy stuff because of the rigidity and I save time having the milling setup ready to go at anytime 😊 I think if anything now I've got a very polished turd.... not two turds 🤣😁

Those combination mill / turning machines look like you would bang your head into the mill head mounted over the lathe. This style doesn't look as awkward as the grizzly machines with the mill head attached to the headstock. That looks like you need to wear a hard hat to keep from hurting yourself.
@paul5683
@paul5683 10 ай бұрын
Here's a tip from an old timer. Don't leave a sharp tool in the mill collet/chuck. Same thing goes for the tailstock. Keeping a sharp tool loaded in the chuck is an accident waiting to happen. Just when you are moving your hands around doing a setup, next thing you know your hand crashes into that sharp edge or drill bit and you have a nasty injury. All that time you thought you were saving by not taking that end mill out, you can spend possibly going to an emergency room, you'll definitely be changing bandages and cussing yourself out for being stupid.

Hi, please give me some advice. I'm going to buy the new drill press but also interested in this multi lathe, is the multi lathe can replace the drill press? My general works were mostly drilling on thr wood and metal things. Thxxxxxx
@jetboatmayhem7271
@jetboatmayhem7271 3 ай бұрын
Hey there! I'd buy them separately. The biggest problem with this machine is you have to disassemble it to mount a Vice to hold anything for Mill work. Now that they're Separate, yes the mill replaces a drill press. If you aren't doing milling, I would just buy a more exercise lathe and a nice drill press. You'd be money ahead and have a much better experience.

Hey, good set of videos. My only comment is this is not a "Full" teardown. You would have had to pull the engine to replace the front seals and bearing assembly as well as service driveline components like a close coupler or u-joints. Good information outside of that. Cheers, Happy Trails!!!
