Dennis M, Hope someone can read this suggestion at the PC Namibia office. The night sky in Namibia, Southern Hemisphere, is very different from North America. It may help the trainees and everyone else to learn about the night sky in Namibia. Maybe a lesson or field trip about what they can see would be useful. It could help math and science teachers too. There is a 13 minute video on KZbin recorded from Namibia about the night sky. The link or web site is kzbin.info/www/bejne/e36YnYBrjKqMabM Hope that helps future PCVs., Steve B Group 5 Namibia 1993-1995

Thanks. Afrikaans would be never go away from Namibia! Even if English is- strangely enough - " the no 1" language. Just like other cultural Namibian languages.

Yes, that is very likely. It is said that the people of southern Africa were actually the first to be shipped to America by the Portuguese. At first from Angola and then later to the neighboring boundaries, like Southern Angola, where you will find the Aawambo people and to the Congo. However, it was not to the numbers as was happening in West Africa.

This teaches us and the outside world how to prepare ovambo traditional porridge, dried spinach and fish. But I would like the narrator/author to film a much bigger and well prepared meal. For example, from cow milking, to traditional butter, to slaughter a cow or a goat and the process goes on, meal is prepared and ready to serve for a visitor ect. Nowadays the youth lives in cities and misses out on cultural norms and values, and the only way to teach and educate the future generations, is through social media platforms. Under corrections please!
