Thank you for a good lesson, nicely put. I'm much older than you but would like be join a Catholic church when I get things better sorted - before stepping out of the boat. What an uplifting message about being called to Mass and continuing the pursuit!

Not entirely sure why this focused totally on between us and Jesus. In my life that is not the only place where this is a stumbling block and the rebukes don't point back to my spiritual growth or trust in God's mercy

You're right, it's the only place. Given the amount of time, I could only focus on one of the scenarios where rebuking takes place!
