Sir, have the below clarifications, 1. Between Process 1 & Process 2 ( say Stamping 1 and Welding 1) assume that the observed inventory is not given as per question/example. 1.1 can I calculate or estimate inventory using Littles law considering the CT as the lead time for Process 2 1.2 or is this law limited to the Value chain entirely ? which is Inventory = Lead Time* Throughput rate of the E2E Value Stream. 1.3 If your answer is “can be applied to estimate in b/w inventory as well” then, is this formula correct ? (Process 2 CT Time * Throughput Rate) = (Inventory X) at any time before Process 2

Hi, I’m currently looking at Starbucks Corporation, are they more of continuous process when it comes from their coffee bean. And Job/Small Batch process when it comes to their Food/Beverage?

I guess it comes under line or continuous process. Orders are taken in queue, and delivered in queue. If you see a person taking order will work as per his process which i see is in line, if its disturbed the quality is hurt.
