New subscriber and new poker vlogger here, enjoying your bold play right off the hop. And the person who said what hand they folded? Gah, that happens all the time in VR. More than half the time it's complete BS, too. You've got the dealer to educate them, I've got features that let me mute people on the table with me ;)

Buying in for $500 in a 5-5 game??? GOOD GRIEF
@PocketMs4 күн бұрын
The buy in is only $300-$600 at this casino. Similar to commerce $5/$5
@CANADIANWARRIOR-il6rt4 күн бұрын
@@PocketMs Thats nuts. the tiny casino I play in 2-5 is $1000 max, 5-5 is $1500
@PocketMs4 күн бұрын
@@CANADIANWARRIOR-il6rt yea a lot of them are $1000 max but some casinos in LA are only $600 max for $5/$5. I prefer those ones because I don’t got the bankroll right now for $1000 bullets. Plus the shorter stack structure provides more action in my opinion. But I will test the $1000 waters in the future 👍

Hey man been playing for over 20 years lemme give you some advice always buy in for the table max. I know you can get lucky buying in short but one bad hand and stack is decimated. I know it’s riskier but over a large sample size I found I do way better doing that.
@PocketMs6 күн бұрын
For sure thanks for the advice man! Yea I buy in for $500 because it’s 100bb and the max at this $5/$5 game is $600 max so it’s not too far off from the table max. However I do feel like as long as I have atleast 100bb to work with I play pretty well. I’m also not exactly the most properly bankrolled for these stakes so I compromise with a $500 buy in instead of $600. I appreciate the advice and thanks for the support!
@bryandajay44017 күн бұрын
I love the Gardens, but the shallow buy in structure makes it so there’s hardly any fold equity. Every other casino in the LA area allow you to buy in so much deeper, ugh lol
@PocketMs6 күн бұрын
Yea thats true. Def less fold equity but I think that’s why the game at the gardens is so good cuz the shallow stacks create more action. The stacks do get deeper the longer the players are there tho

Just stumbled on this. C-Bet multi-way with 66 on the first hand is brutal. Single raised pot you have a million hands that aren’t nutted, multi-way on that dynamic it feels beyond spew, legit hemorrhaging money. I honestly might be wrong, I’m no expert, I’ve been wrong before but you may want to assess logic there. I truly believe continuing 66 on QJ9 multi-way in a live low stakes poker game is a leak that requires urgent attention.
@PocketMs7 күн бұрын
Yea it was a pretty dynamic board for sure that they could’ve easily connected with. However the player that called was just on a draw and seemed like they got there. So I def thought I could of kept barreling on a non diamond but it is pretty spewy I must say. I def don’t play perfect that’s for sure but it’s a work in progress. Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate you voicing that out to me
@TheNow_Now7 күн бұрын
Even heads up, QJ9 flush draw is definitely not a range bet, definitely is a leak. 66/underpairs don't really benefit from betting.
@nathancoffman54976 күн бұрын
Agreed with all above!! (from a winning online 10nl player and live 1/2 player)Betting sixes on that board multiway only allows better to call you, any J, Q, T, is for sure calling the flop so betting is only getting better pairs/ draws with more equity than you(ATo vs 66 is still ahead) to call and worse to fold. Also if you continue bluffing, you only have 2 outs and even then, those two outs might not end up good with the straight being flopped or made on turn or river. If bluffing I much prefer to bluff a flush draw or ten in this spot, this also making it slightly more likely your opponents don’t have a straight. In general we are supposed to check multiway pretty frequently anyway given this texture.
@PocketMsКүн бұрын
@@nathancoffman5497 Thanks for the detailed advice! I'll be sure to implement this into my game the next time I run into the same spot with an under pair in a multi-way pot on a wet flop

quick calls with immediately obvious draws on the board are often exactly that, so bluffing into a four-card flush is dangerous.

Yea def very dangerous. Sometimes you gotta risk it for the biscuit. But that spot I was just trying to buy the pot to get some money back but ended up digging a bigger hole of course 😂

Lots of work you need young grasshopper. Love the editing, but as far as game, work in more C bet barrels when youre in position & the aggressor. Work in more bluffing when youre blocking the nuts. Also, work in bigger bet sizing when you have ace high or nothing, as c-bets, go 66% or 75% pot. I think you need to stop Calling so much and work in more Bet/ Raising or Folding
@PocketMs27 күн бұрын
Thanks Brandon for putting the time and effort into giving me such great feedback. Will def try to incorporate larger c bets when I whiff the flop as the aggressor. This was one of my worst sessions so def a lot to study from this session. As always thanks for the support!!!

Putting in 20bb pre with 66 when your opponent is playing sub 100bb is not advised
@PocketMsАй бұрын
True but I just thought I was ahead and he had ace high at best tbh. If a AKQ wasn’t on the flop then I was going to ship it which I did. Unfortunately he got there on the river :(
@dok599Ай бұрын
@@PocketMs yea fair thought process. I would just argue if you think you’re ahead pre, just ship it in. So many flops will be hard to navigate, and you’re just not deep enough to profitably set mine
