FYI, KQ hearts is the "stone cold nuts". I'm tired of hands being called "the nuts" because they are very likely the best hand.

Yes frank technically you are right but in a sense when the player knows where they’re at, it’s okay to say the have the nuts given the pre flop action and the opponents range. So using the word “nuts” is applicable

@@khmer5o3 Say "I'm sure I have the best hand here because...", don't change the definition because it sounds cooler. Words have meaning, although many like to have them mean whatever they want. I also don't like those that 'give 110%', or 'literally died' when something happened. Yes, I know what they mean, but then the terms become diluted, and can become meaningless.

@@frankberger3507 To be clear, I’m not trying to win an argument. I’m only pointing out the nuances of using those words when playing poker and trying to give you another perspective. As I said, technically you are 100% correct.

@@khmer5o3 Understood. I like clarity and rules as opposed to creative license. German style soccer, not Brazilian. I understand that many, if not most, see things your way.

Nice to book a win. Maybe go over the home game rules - what rake do they take? - there is no “show one, show all” rule right?

It’s pretty chill rules. Unlike a casino you don’t have to show everyone but if someone calls it then I think they will show their hand if that makes sense

I think with the JJ a 4 bet shove is best. If you call spr is less than 1 on the flop so you’re calling off super wide anyways. It also mitigates the risk of CO seeing the flop for a good price and likely assures youre just all in and heads up with the BU. If you’re behind it’s hard to fold being so shallow, and in this case you’d have made an extra $150 as BU isn’t ever folding pre

Thanks for the input. Yea I agree with you, normally I would just try to get jacks in and go to a runout with it, but because he 3-bet strong already early in the session, I just felt like I was flipping at best if i got 4-bet and called, but sometimes it is what it is if they have a better hand. However, I definitely agree that 4-betting to get the CO out of the way and isolate to heads up with JJ is a great move.

New subscriber here. I like your style of play and your knowledge as a younger man (assuming you are early to mid 20's) Enjoying the few videos you have posted. I have a couple of questions. Where are you from, and how long have you been playing poker?

Aww thanks man. I appreciate the support! Yea I’m 22 i do my best to study up. I started playing poker more seriously when I was 19 at morongo and played a lot of online poker tournaments during quarantine. I love playing poker so I hope you stay tuned for some more vlogs. We just getting started :)

@@PocketMs I absolutely will man. I am 52 and grew up around a poker table as my Father always had a game going in our basement. I would get beers and coke's for the players and get any where from $.25 - $1.00 I made $20-$50 a night or all day. I always stood next to Dad and watched him play. Basically what I am saying is that I love seeing younger players get so good at an early age. Poker requires a lot of time and dedication that most are unwilling to do or just flat out do not want to study. I will be watching your videos, and although I am long winded here I rarely comment.
