I have a north nova V3 6mtr that is for light wind great . What sizes would you get if i wanted to invest in novas for stronger winds 35mph max ! . I would be on a budget so would this be all the wings to 3.5 ! Or could i go 6mtr 4.2mtr then one smaller for high wind days .

i'm wearing my zipless 3/4 now the third year, surfing South Africa. It keeps me warm in 12°C cold water. I have no issues so far. This wetsuit is very flexible, feels like a second skin, easy to put on and off, and i dries quickly.

Interesting review on this timeless model. But now, there is... the Pisces, which is described as a kind of "RNF 2.0". Do you think this new board has the same qualities ? Is it so versatile ? Does it handle better waves as well as the RNF (which is not just good for grovelling in mushy waves, as we can see here...) ?

Is it possible to upgrade a V1 fuselage into an A+ system fuselage by drilling a hole at the middle of it to connect the A+ mast?...or it is not recommended? Thank

Wow.board looks awesome! I'm 70 kg, seems like it would be a good light wind wing board but could also handle stronger winds?

HI Matt, many thanks for the video! You really share the quintessential feeling of winging in light air. I can can get foiling in 5-6 knots (6-7 mph) wind, which are what we often get in the swiss lakes, with my 7'6" DW board, 155cm 2000 sq.cm foil (an overkill for my 65kg) and 6 mq 2021 wing. Fully agree that manouvers like jibes are a struggle in light air but I hope I can get better with practice! I am very interested in your opinion of the light air wings that have come out this year: the XPS Lightwind, the Loft Pro, the CWC and the Ventis (non Alula for like for like budget comparison). Where do you think they are they similar and where are they different ?

How does it compare as far as the differences and similarities to the Ghost, I really like the ghost when the waves are good.. I bought one of Jonjon's old used boards(6'2"x18 3/4"x2 1/2" 29L) PU poly and it works great in good-epic surf. Im 165ish 6'0", Anyone have ideas for what radius dims should I shoot for? I want to get a new board when I get back from my Alaska trip for end of summer into winter! Thanks for the reviews!

Matt great video would you recommend the APF 1350 for a progressing intermediate as a daily driver - gusty inland lakes in Michigan. Or is it really just for the sub 15 knot days and more advanced riders.
@kippywylie7 күн бұрын
With my Lift efoil the most difficult part about this is when the drive needs to power off as I'm up on foil ready to glide without assist. The trigger-off often instantly makes a faceplant because it's tricky to quickly adjust the pitch. Did you notice trouble at that point? Thank You Matt, been following you since the first days of kiteboarding

Hey Matt. What would be your top end wind speed for winging the APF1350 ? If you thought the wind might pickup during your session might you choose the HA1080 instead? I don’t have Real Watersports for a garage so I need to choose my quiver carefully!
@REALmattnuzzo10 күн бұрын
Ha ha! Yes we are ver fortunate to have all of the options. I think that the 1350 would top out for me at like 15-17. It would depend on if there is any swell or I would be in flat water. The 1080 will get going well in the light stuff and be way faster and more playful, but it doesn't have the low end. 1350 for me is my jonesing bottom of the barrel session. Then I will go to the 1080 once it is 10-15 mph with the DW board.

Awesome. Looked like no wind at all. 220 lbs. I have the 1180 and 140l dw board. 1350 or go with the one of the bigger apf?
@REALmattnuzzo10 күн бұрын
Good question. At 220 lbs, I would go APF 1675 and Glide 220 tail. Won't be as quick as the 1350 but you will get on foil in the lightest air possible.

Do you think the NVision Psycho or Pivot is a better match for your riding style?
@Jorvl0910 күн бұрын
Thinking of buying the same Armstrong gear. What downwind board size and foil size do you recommend for 195lbs? I live in light wind area with 6.0 wing.
@REALmattnuzzo10 күн бұрын
Sweet. Depends a bit on your skill level, but I would go for the 128L new Armstrong DW board. The extra length and volume will make it plenty stable and will allow you the forward speed you want. The 116L might be an option if you wanted it better turning and were riding a smaller wing board. Since you are chasing the low bound of the wind, then I would size that board up to get the stability and speed. Also get yourself a good 8m wing. 6m with DW board will be great and I would get the DW board over the 8m. That being said at your size to push the low low bound of the wind range you will need DW and 8m

Thank you Matt. A little off topic but a great shot at 5:08 of how a wing tip beach will cause cavitation to flow down the wing and stall the wing. Appreciate all you do for wind sports.

really worth the hassle?...... does not look like really. in this wind conditions: jogging or some beers.

Hey Matt, great review, but I would find it very interesting if you did a review using the foil drive to get up on the foil in those exact light wind conditions. Myself and a buddy have been playing around with the foil drive on Lake James, a mountain lake East of Asheville in extremely light wind conditions with great results. Cheers!
