Standing on the backs of giants with 1:16 the use of graphed data of temperature records that are made up and adjusted to suit the narrative. The funny thing is that co2 will eventually be shown to cause increase cooling via increase convection in the troposphere albeit another minuscule effect. Galactic cosmic rays are the real driver of the climate. Just for your benefit. If you firstly examine Paleolithic records of the co2 levels vs recorded temperatures, you’ll note that there is no observable correlation between these metrics. In essence they plot two independent unrelated scribbles on a graph. Secondly, examine the Hawaii records of co2 otherwise known as 'The Keeling graph' and you'll note that this graph is unable to detect any variation in co2 levels during/following either the Covid lockdowns or the large industrial uptick in and around the year 2000 from both India and from china.. The graph just sailed on along the same trajectory and the curve was unperturbed . However, when we zoom in we can see the seasonal fluctuations related to winter Spring summer and fall yet two of the largest shifts in anthropogenic co2 output remain hidden.. . These are two simple facts that should set of alarm bells in any one willing to think for themselves. So in 1990's ice cores were taken at either end of the planet at the poles. Dansgaurd and Oeschger were the scientist who conducted this field work and these findings were very insightful.. When you examine the data from these Dansgaurd Oeschger oscillations which they established as occurring during the quaternary period, you'll see huge anomalies in temperature data and co2 levels wherein temp rose by 5-15 deg in as little as a few decades while co2 rose from circa 180ppm to 330ppm over the same period and this occurred several times over the 700k year records examined in the ice core data and this is the DO oscillations .. It is this data that Alarmists use to prop up the Al-Gore theory and yes.. there seems to be a synchronous duality between co2 effect and earths temperatures but the facts are THIS.. This is a relationship uniquely linked to ocean gyres/currents which has only become omnipresent since the closure of the Tethys sea.. (The Tethys sea was a equatorial body of water that nearly encompassed the entire mid-drift of the earth wherein warm water permanently resided at the equator and it is believed that Hadley cell styled atmospheric systems of air currents were the prime driver of the heat flux or heat transportation and the main means by which thermal equilibrium was achieved across the globe . When this equatorial sea existed the dual rise and fall of co2 was not evident. Incidentally 63million year ago is when the Tethys sea began to disappear, India slid into Asia and closed the first portion of the TethysSea with last major closing occurring only 3.5 million years ago when Central America was formed via plate tectonic upheaval. But when this sea closed we see DO oscillations. This closure created a new dynamic earth system which was forced to find a new route to equilibrium or a new way to distribute heat evenly over the planet. The oceans where now more restricted or blocked from their east/west travel and currents started to flow north and south along the great continents. This effected the earth's deep waterbodies but it took several thousand years to see the effects.. The effect seen this new equilibrium mechanism heat the oceans and produced the tell tale signs of co2 pulsing with temperature, but again this is only present in recent geological times or since the Tethys sea closure. The principle cause is outgassing of co2 by warming oceans as co2 is less soluble in warmer water. The DO oscillations show this and show that in most instances, it is temperature rise that leads co2. But not always and this leads us to the Milinkovic .. milankovitch cycles. The milankovitch cycle are in essence a geometric function of our position and ordination in space Its mathematically represented by a series of synodal sine waves that captures the earth ‘insulation’ relative to the earths orbit, procession and tilt etc etc.. These waves overlap at different times depending on the earths physical position/ordination. This cycles are somewhat linked to rhythm of DO oscillations but milankovitch cycle only became effective at governing earths climate when the planet had sufficient cooled to allow such a minor effect manifest itself as the great glaciations, previous tho this one might expect that it was more evident in simple weather systems but snow has a lasting effect.. We cooled and snow became more critical to the formation of a new climate structure and the new equilibrium was cemented. However, this equilibrium does change and is susceptible to chaage or external influences by other far reaching forces from deep space. Finally we are led to examine the beryllium 10 isotope data, It is formed in the atmosphere when earth was bombarded with sub atomic particles from deep space. The qualities within the geological despots allow us to ascertain the level of bombardment relative to the geological timeframe. This too was found in the same ice cores and the deposits found show a perfect correlation with known events. One such event being the Mini Ice Age, This was a time when we suffered a near return to deep glaciation which by the way, is the norm for 9/10th of this particular epoch in earth’s history. It is now understood that the sun controls more that first understood. As the earth has a magnetoshear, so does the sun have a heliosphere, the first being a magnetic shield and the later being a plasma based shield that extends out past the Ortt cloud. Solar output energy and the subsequent health of this heliosphere is one in the same. This heliosphere shields the solar system form incoming material from interstellar space, being material most likely ejected from supernova and other large cosmic phenomena . This heliosphere is pivotal to the solar system’s ability to deflect GCR (Galactic cosmic rays:-aka deep space particles travelling at 50k km/sec) as these partials ionize the upper atmosphere and set the stafe for excessive seeding of cloud formation which in turn blocks sun light and increase our reflection or earths albedo.. The levels of beryllium 10 which was found tied in perfectly with our written meteorological records of this time. This finding was further verified via sun spot records, which were recorded in earnest by generations of astronomers who were, at the time, unclear of the relevance of the observations and how it related to climate. A weakening sun over this period was illustrated via the sun spot number or the complete lack there of, this was known as the Maunder minimum. The bigger picture tells us that as the sun weened in output, sun spots activity lessened, the heliosphere weakened and GCR's created more ionized particales in the atmosphere and subsequently more cloud cover formed and earth cooled and this is what was witnessed.. The milankovitch cycles original hypothesis suggested that ice ages were exclusive to only one pole at any one time however, the DO data told us that ice ages occurred simultaneously at both poles thus we were able to see that it's the sun that causes the world wide effect and not 'earth-insulation' The milankovitch cycles were still felt by the relevant poles and this was evident in the order of the aforementioned sequence of events attributed to the time-lines of the rise and fall of co2 and temperature or in other words 'which rose first' The cycles could advance or retard the development of polar ice cap formation but only by around 1000years or less. So it clear now that co2 is just an observed effect of a warming earth and not a driver of climate change.. Remember that the political elite are generally the group of peropel that failed in the real world and they fell into politics. Now they set rules based on an A,B C understanding of climate. Additionally the problem is compounded now as the earths magnetosphere is weakening and it is not entirely clear as to the reasons why.. As such we know it’s weakening because we are detecting Aurora lower latitudes, even though the Sun has not been particularly active.. The one this that clear is that we dont understand what is exactly driving the sun and subsequently the earths climate. We know that we have energy field in space connecting stars, these are known as Burkeland currents and as such it is thought that a stars proximity to a burkeland current drives the stars output and its subsequent plasma field strength. if you are wishing to remain attached to the views of 200-year-old scientific beliefs under misunderstood concepts, then please do so! But anyone who believes that CO2 has the ability to do the heavy lifting of climate change is a clown... I have given you all the facts here! You need now to go and examine these facts for yourselves don't let Dark Green or Deep Green as I like to call it, try and ride the last profits from humanities endeavors. People, please educate yourselves, don’t take my word for it.. co2 is a religious concept to many who are too blinkered to accept flaws in their thinking. Regardless of this or any efforts by the earths populations, nothing will stop our return into the full ice age which is what n our doorstep.. Ice sheets from the poles to 50deg latitude north and south.. wake up ! You're being manipulated by the UN and its unelected bodies.

I first came across the notion of negentropy in Schrodinger's little book "What is Life?" Under Schrodinger's definition of life, the earth is a living thing. Climate change has been an issue for me since the 1980s, and this is clearly connected. So I came here for the climate stuff and found... bitcoin! I fear that the connection you've made here will alienate some of your audience Jason, but I also want to congratulate you. Government disinformation would have us think that bitcoin is bad for the environment because of the amount of electrical energy it consumes, completely obscuring the fact that this is only detrimental while that energy derives from fossil fuels. With the price if fossil fuel energy rising and the price of green energy falling, the bitcoin miners will gradually move over to green energy (along with stranded resources). I fully commend your realisation. The connection with war reminds me of Major Jason Lowery's book "Softwar" which, if you're unfamiliar with it, I would highly recommend. He can be found on KZbin giving a lecture on his thesis. Thank you so much Jason!

Thank you for bringing up this topic. I wish I didn't consider Bitcoin to be the most successful ponzi scheme ever. I also believe that the booming stock market, the soaring price of gold and thousand dollar bitcoin are all related to the federal reserve suddenly realizing they can create wealth when they are actually doing the opposite. There is more money than there is stuff to buy, and it is all concentrated in a few hands. Only a metaphorical two by four against humanity's metaphorical head will protect the biosphere. I am disappointed in myself for being pessimistic, I hope I can change.

Hi Jason. I think the reason Warren got into bed with the banks is she is a capitalist and banks are core to capitalism, as is war. On the value form, it might be worth you having a look at Capital Vol 1 by K Marx, as it is explained very well in there. The problem we have is the never ending need for capital to expand via accumulation. This is not about bad humans, or individual actions, it is about an out of control Frankenstein's monster that is destroying nature via capital accumulation. To stop that we have to get rid of the social system that allows unfettered accumulation. It is called capitalism.

your thoughts come from a good place: you want to stop funding for war - that is undeniably a good end-goal. however, simply switching to bitcoin wouldn't solve anything; in fact, bitcoin is already used to fund wars, most notably russia against ukraine. on top of that, in your solution, nation-states and already extremely wealthy people would still have the best position to mine it and accumulate it more quickly than the 99% of us. if you don't change the power structures when it comes to money and wealth, little to nothing would change in the world with a switch from fiat to bitcoin. unfortunately what you're proposing is a technocratic solution to a systemic problem.

Both are interesting outside the box videos and therefore always worth to think about! For my pov I have three main issues to follow your thoughts: 1. War was always around not matter of the currency system: fiat or the "hard" predecessors silver, gold, you name it. I do not get the link why that should change and stop war. 2. The current extremly uneven distribution of bitcoin should be a strong warning sign who will have power when the price rises. Will democracy survive? The money impact in todays elections just gives a concerning glimpse what might come with bitcoin world currency. 3. Economics or social science and behaviors do not work like physical laws, although textbooks use an awefull lot of math in reality there are hardly any stable connections & correlations (just have a look on financial forecasting and how "good" it works)

It's really sad to see this. "Renewables" are devastating to the environment. Whether they are running data centers for bitcoin or some other use, they are in no way a "technology for peace." York et al has showed that adding more renewable energy to the total energy supply just means we use more energy; looked at globally it doesn't replace the use of fossil fuels. What on Earth do you think we'll use to mine all the materials to make all the so-called "renewable energy" with? Or make all the computers to "mine" bitcoin with? To build the data centers with? FOSSIL FUELS. Do you think mining all these materials is "peaceful" for the natural communities that will be utterly destroyed in the process? Do you think massive concrete dams for hydropower to fuel data centers for crypto is "peaceful" for the rivers and riparian ecosystems destroyed? This is just so unbelievably insane. I guess it proves we humans are capable of amazing feats of mental gymnastics in order to confirm our biases. You are right that war is devastating to the environment, in many many ways. But so is bitcoin. And if you can't see that, something is very wrong.

I watched the first video and looked up negentropy. I do get the idea of using excess and green energy to do the mining and create a new kind of 'hard currency'. I've followed your glaciology work for ten or fifteen years. I found the tree-planting in Greenland felt like James Hansen's focus on the monarch butterfly, sort of a grasping at one small positive thing you could do in the face of cascading climate degradation. Also fifteen years ago I was hanging out with libertarians who railed on about fiat currency and the upside of a global financial collapse - instant de-growth. Taking your money out of banks and investments and putting it in a hardware wallet sounds like tax evasion to me. As I understand cryptocurrency, so far it's been an object of speculation rather than an actual alternative system of exchange. If, say, US citizens (I'm Canadian) who have enough assets to play the investing game were en masse to transfer them into Bitcoin, that removes them from a tax system that funds war, but also funds a social safety net and a country's infrastructure. Anything that's pure speculation and relies on new investors to increase the value of the holdings of earlier investors is called a ponzi scheme. I would read a well-researched book by someone like David Wallace-Wells about this idea. But at my advanced age, I know that someone can be a world-class expert laser-focused on one thing and not be a more reliable source of information on anything else than any random KZbinr.

Now I more appreciate that cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin are, at least for the time being, a type of "hard money". Long ago in the ancient Roman Empire, coins of copper or silver or gold acted as what is now called "hard money". Paper currencies techically do not have to be a form of "fiat money", but can very easily become fiat money by way of decree. As an example of such a decree, long ago during the Presidency of Richard Nixon in the USA, it was decreed that France could no longer use American paper currency to buy silver at a fixed official exchange rate from the USA of $1.29½ per troy ounce. At that point of time, by way of that decree, paper money in the USA become a fiat currency. Typically, now in the 2020s some 50 years on, it takes tens of dollars to buy a troy ounce of silver. Fiat money very easily becomes the chief basis for "Keynesian economics", economics based on the borrowing of money. Printing more paper fiat money allows a government to pay off loans that would be difficult to pay off, perhaps loans made in order to fight a war to conquer from another country some mostly unexploited coal or natural gas or oil region. It is said that now in the year 2024 during the current war in Europe, Russia has very much taken a Keynesian economics approach to funding a war that could potentially conquer a vast and mostly undeveloped natural gas region in the eastern Ukraine region. For the time being, cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin have not yet put a stop to Keynesian economics. The practice of Keynesian economics thats funds military grabs of coal or natural gas or oil is a practice that continues even now in the 2020s. Ultimately, the eventual exploitation of such militarily grabbed fossil fuel resources almost inevitably leads to even more CO2 in Earth's atmosphere.

I believe you are incorrect in the way you interpreted the fact that 'Bitcoin mining is only economical when energy prices are low' You must also realize 3 things to understand what I mean: First; yes mining operations often only operate when energy prices are low; however this is not a case of 'i get to make money every time energy prices are low' but rather 'i only recoup my investment if energy prices are on average low enough to make operation profitable over the duration of a day' Second: There is a hard limit to how much energy/time your mining operation can use before you need to buy more chips. As a result the price of chips will always be a significant factor in the ROI of mining. Third: as Bitcoin mining scales up there is more competition and profit margins will decrease. Mining operations will therefore need to operate their chips for longer durations in order to make a profit. See the picture I'm painting? Increasing the amount of Bitcoin mining we do actually increases demand for BASE LOAD power, even if most of the energy currently used for it comes from renewables. Also for the record I found your explanation of the relationship between Bitcoin and war much more convincing here; though I still think you're underestimating the fact that many, many wars have been fought with gold. It just meant that the party with more gold usually won, rather than the party that was more willing to devalue their currency. IDK if you recognize my name from a comment on the previous video; I appreciate that you don't like arguing with randos on the Internet, but I hope you'll give my points some consideration anyways.

I think that you're wrong, Mr. Box; assuming that there's any "solutions" to the problem of abrupt climate change. One does think that climate change is but a symptom; a result of humanities massive environmental overshoot. The truth of the matter? Is that there's far, far too many people alive today, consuming, and reproducing... You can't have unlimited growth within a "closed system" such as our planet happens to be. To have any chance of slowing down this rapidly accelerating extinction event? "We" would need to reduce our human population level from the over 8 billion alive and consuming today? To less than 1 billion, while at the same time immediately removing approximately 2.25 trillion gigatons of CO2 from the atmosphere.... And we need this to happen right now, to have any chance of the survival of enough life to keep viable ecosystems.... And there's no way that this is going to happen. Humanity lacks both the intelligence, (on average) and the will, to save itself from it's own waste products. I find "inner peace" through the practice of acceptance of reality "as is". Accepting that I am absolutely powerless over other people's thinking and beliefs. I can't change anything much except for myself and what actions I take in the pursuit of living life, and being.... One thinks that it's past time for "society" to be thinking about a global hospice program... It's time for grief; and going through the stages of grief, to get to a better mental state of health, for most people... Been there, and done just that, myself. Now I keep things simple and simply live as best as I can manage to, one day at a time, treasuring the moment. 😊 My very best wishes for you and all those you care for, Mr. Box.

List credible solutions
@HarryONeil
@HarryONeil 10 күн бұрын
@JasonBoxClimate Sir, I don't think, or believe, that there are any "credible", workable solutions, given the current levels of GHG in the atmosphere. Physics and the natural laws of cause and effect are having their way. Our planet's operating systems are now in the process of a "phase shift", to a completely different state of being. The atmosphere, the oceans, and the surface of every single continent is changing. Reacting to the increasing amounts of overall "heat energy" being added to the air, sea, and lands. Civilization such as humanity has created? It is a massive "heat engine", fueled by natural resources and the consumption of natural habitat. You're certainly aware of Dr. William Rees and his "works" . William Catton is another you must have read. Didn't you grasp their point? Humanity is in a state of incredible "Ecological Overshoot" ; over 8 billion people, ever increasing and consuming, producing an ever increasing amount of waste products in countless types and forms. Within a totally closed system? That math will not work. Impossible for the "civilization" to last; and history gives us many examples of this fact of reality... Did you ever visit Cortez, or any of the many ruins in the 4 corners area, when you lived here in Colorado? The Anasazi, and the building's that they left behind, when a little natural climate variability ended their "civilization"... Or points south, and the many "extinct civilizations" of Central and South America... The only difference between us and them? Is that "We" became global, and so altered the whole of surface of the earth, as well as its air and waters. We've been running an incredibly complex, massive chemistry experiment with the atmosphere and oceans; which are demonstrably changing physically and chemically. Change's that will only become more extreme, irregardless of what humanity does, due to the increasing number of self reinforcing, positive warming feedback loops, now naturally occurring and irreversible. The feedback loops are evidence of "tipping points" passed, 😕 one does think. Even the IPCC reported some years ago now, that the earth was in the midst of abrupt and irreversible climate changes, and it was happening faster than "even abrupt geological events" of the past, with an ever increasing rate of speed. The Exponential function is at work across the board, and not in humanities favor. Just look at all of the "hockey stick" curves on the graph's illustrating the measurements of many of the acting "factors" scientists and researchers are observing. "We" don't have problems, for which solutions might be found, dear Sir, but a predicament, from which there appears to be no escape. Not according to Physics, and the natural laws of "cause and effect" having their way with the atmosphere and hydrology of planet Earth. It's really hard for almost everyone to accept it. That there's no solutions. Cognitive bias, and actual cognitive dissonance seems to be a common response, in most people that I have conversed with. They don't want to know the actual facts. Don't even want to consider what the sum total of human activity has brought us to. The great increase in armed conflict and warfare over the past 2 decades? Archeologists discovered that same pattern of "social conflict" in most of the disappeared civilization's of our past. "Those who don't know about the past? Are doomed to repeat it". I dunno' who ever said that first, but it does seem like a current observation. "Extinction is the rule. Survival is the exception". Carl Sagan

My usual reservations are organisms cause a greater increase in entropy in their environment than the decrease in entropy associated with their increased complexity. When you watch his video „Greenland Tipping Point“ from 2022 you find this quote „If you want to know what‘s going on in politics follow the money. If you want to know what‘s going on in a glacier follow the water“ There might be some preoccupation with financial issues. But the present video displays an unbelievably abrupt turn. And there is no parallel X post as far as I can see. A potential hack is high on the list. I am eagerly awaiting the time line…

Nice to see a Humble concerned Heart. Someone who both lives in a reality know to almost all. Ever consider a need for a root cellar, might become handy in the future in many ways. Deeper the better, cool in the summer & warm in the winter. Good place for preserved food from the garden.

So in summary we are definitely screwed. The real problem we are having now is trying to figure out how badly. The current global system has been shown to be unable to respond effectively to the crisis and given the current trends is definitely going to fail. So at the point humanity is in the most danger it's helpless to respond. It's more than reasonable to expect a massive dimunition of the human race. I would be very surprised if there's even a billion people left in a hundred years. I wouldn't be surprised at all if there was much less than half of that.

As I otherwise value your analysis very highly, I am taking your advice & looking into Bitcoin. So far what I have learned in the last few hours is that Bitcoin is very warmly embraced by MAGALAND. Not a good sign as everything else that I know is actively embraced by MAGA is horrifyingly evil. Next I learn that Bitcoin is much less a currency than it is a Ponzi scheme which requires constantly evolving revolutionary use cases to justify its existence in order to continuously attract new investors to buy into it & keep the scheme afloat. There is only one reason that justifies investing money for the sole purpose of making money & that is greed. Greed for its own sake is a mortal sin & vice. Greed at this scale is universally catastrophic. The opposite of greed is the holy virtue of caring. Caring means sharing. Sharing is true wealth. Sharing is the opposite of accumulating. What is accumulated & hoarded is by definition lost to the community even if it is not literally wasted or become foul. Natural economies are always based on sharing. To the extent that accumulation happens in a natural caring society, it happens to safeguard the whole community. Just now as I have been writing this, a friend sent me the link to the following article which seems particularly relevant to this subject, emergencemagazine.org/essay/the-serviceberry/ “The Serviceberry, An Economy of Abundance, As Robin Wall Kimmerer harvests serviceberries alongside the birds, she considers the ethic of reciprocity that lies at the heart of the gift economy. How, she asks, can we learn from Indigenous wisdom and ecological systems to reimagine currencies of exchange? Robin Wall Kimmerer is a mother, scientist, professor, and enrolled member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation. She is the author of Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants and The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World. Kimmerer lives in Syracuse, New York, where she is a SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor of Environmental Biology and the founder and director of the Center for Native Peoples and the Environment.”

Wow thanks for thoughtful response, helps me understand where folks that care are coming from... I'd say that Bitcoin has until the 'red sweep' avoided being politicized and I hope you can look beyond that. Unlike a Ponzi, there is no central entity, just individuals building an economy. Have a look at the value propositions list I put in the video notes. And this page is also helpful to dispel myths en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Myths#It's_a_giant_Ponzi_scheme

I'll play along out of a pure desire to be intellectually honest... What makes you think that a cryptocurrency will actually reduce war? What's the line of reasoning? You talk about hard currency, negentropy... I understand all of that too mean that once governments adopt bitcoin they will no longer fund wars because it takes energy to produce the currency to do so? But as you described, gold was the original hard currency, and many a war was paid for with gold... What is the difference in the case of bitcoin? What qualities does the Blockchain have that differentiate it from gold in this way? And what makes you think that this 'solution' even if true, would take effect early enough to make a difference in the current climate crisis? Or are you only saying that your outlook for the long term future of humanity is more hopeful?

Lots of people throw around the block chain buzzword, but it’s only powerful when decentralized and protected by a very powerful computer network. Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency with that kind of strength. And because Bitcoin has no CEO, it is not confounded by corruption or by politics.

@@JasonBoxClimate I'm not remotely satisfied by this answer, as it failed to address my central question. Why would a hard money standard make paying for war any more out of reach? Many a war was fought with gold as I said, and when a politician lacked the funds to pay up front, they took out a loan and taxed the people until it was paid back. What, specifically about Bitcoin, discourages this?

I was interested too see what a disaster this comment section would be when he mentioned Bitcoin. And it is. It's full of boomers who don't understand Bitcoin, and thus cannot even open their mind to comprehend what's being said. But that's to be expected. If you're having a hard time gasping all this, start by reading Debt by the late David Graeber. May he RIP. Jason, you are strong and a leader for putting out a video on Bitcoin, there will always be ignorant haters, but we need to talk about money and power and debt, those are the roots of all problems.

Since billionaire banksters control the banks, the money, world currencies, corrupt politicians, corrupt military generals, corrupt CEO's, secret society criminal cartels, ad nauseum, while controlling multi-billion dollar publishing houses, the labs, museums, etc., since they also control advanced tech military weapons contractors and the most advanced-tech AI, along with weather wars, science grants, etc.. ... now would be a good time to realize who the puppet masters are - and then break free of the programming, indoctrination, mind control, etc., including the lies about democracy and freedom, justice and equality while the 1% siphon 99% of the world wealth into their control - while relegating billions of babies and children, teens and adults into horrifying poverty - without a decent bed to sleep in, without a decent bathroom, without adequate nutrition, without humane transportation and without any real education - since most everything is lies lies and more lies - especially the timeline lies, the lies about science, the lies about our Earth, sun, moon and stars, the lies about history, government, politics, economics, religion and so on

I've a friend in Germany who is a software developer. She tells me she's amassed a fortune with crypto currency. I haven't asked her what form of "fortune" is comprised from the cryptocurrency. Then again, my brother in law is one of the most senior international banking executives in a well known global bank. He says, of cryptocurrency, the only money he would entrust his investments with is anything but crypto. And if those two anecdotes are nothing to go by, then if I believe just one prominent climate activist, about the imminent collapse of the climate, then by the time we could get even remotely near a fully pervasive currency exchange in the form of crypto, the whole social and environment apocalypse should be on us by then. Then we have the inherent unfairness in access to information services. Not only can't every single person gain access to money or risk investment in volatile currencies like crypto, they have no access to the information services on which it relies to function. In this respect, those with the least money are the first to be even more impoverished because of crypto. It's bad enough with physical currency exchange as it already is! I've come close to unsubscribing from Jason's channel after watching his latest presentation. He stretched credibility a little too far for my liking. I'll stick with it for a bit longer but a thesis like his is a little too fantastical for me I'm afraid. Far too much like an academic exercise in hypothetical thinking to me, as opposed to a practical real world solution for when it's most needed, like *NOW!!!*.
