I bet it will be arboreal forest soon full of tree small ones to start why is there not the will to get a spade out and start digging for our future. Sometimes i think we don't deserve our place on this planet for the way we interact with it and i suspect mother earth will put us all in our place by showing us her power of healing when we are gone?

@@wayneparkinson4558 Agreed, Mother Earth made us. Mother Earth will take us and sadly other species but in 10-30 million years there will be new beautiful mammals, reptiles, amphibians and flora.

@@dianewallace6064 Our ignorance will be our undoing for mother gave us a utopian ecological environment to thrive alongside a diverse ecology pristine enviroment. But the ultimate experiment is failing for we are unworthy to be her conservator unfortunately the elite minority who control all our futures who suppose to serve allow paranoia ,power, greed to dictate there every day lives instead of our ultimate survival we are such a primitive warring tribe who only know how to destroy what they inherited by design they want to dismantle, devour, rape natures ultimate gift

Wow, quite the difference in resolution and accuracy. Hope we get to see the speed of refinement quicken in other areas too. I keep thinking about the day when we properly fund the research we so desperately need. Hoping of course, that our refinements yield solutions we had not considered.

I have been watching his videos for a while now. You can almost tell by the tone in his voice this melancholic love he has for Greenland. He must be very sorry to see it slowly disappearing. On the other hand, what a field day for the geologists and archeologists of the future, assuming humanity survives that long.

That's the long range global weather forecast that looks at best stormy and uncertain for human habitation in the medium to long term less land more people toxic environment on land and sea spells real trouble for our future kind?

In September 2022, sea ice reached a minimum extent of 4.87 million square kilometers in the Arctic. This is higher than the extent in 2007, which means the Arctic summer sea ice trend is zero for the past 16 years. It was almost as high as 1995. Summer 2023 is one of the coldest in several decades in the Arctic, and May 2023 was the coldest on record there. The Greenland surface mass balance (SMB) for the past 11 months is a massive but very normal 450 billion tonnes of ice accumulated. 5 out of the last 7 years have seen huge accumulations above the average (1981-2010).
