I just love all of the watercolors like this that you share. How long does it typically take to complete such a page?

Hi Erin. Wow I just discovered your channel and I so love your art. Also the more I watch your video's the more I discover that we are so much alike in our belief system and just the stuff that you discuss I so agree with. Also just by chance we are also the same age. Thank you for sharing your art with us. Love this color combo. Greetings all the way from South Africa.

Hello all the way in South Africa! Thanks for your sweet comment. I've been sick for two weeks now so I haven't been able to get much filming and editing done. I've been doing little projects when I have a little energy. Are you a bicentennial baby? Oh, you might not know what I mean. Haha. 1976 is 200 years after the United States became a country. That's the year I was born. 😁

@artsyerinlife12 күн бұрын
😆 right?! They want to travel around the page like a toddler on sugar.
@kidskids18219 күн бұрын
One way you can attempt to control water color is first outlining where you want the water to stay with faint amounts of water. Just enough for it to be shiny. And then paint like normal. It should create a barrier

Should have put clear gesso on it before painting it
@artsyerinlife18 күн бұрын
I should give that a try. I have some cheap liquid gesso, but it's very chalky.
@vickiebain673418 күн бұрын
@ it won’t matter once you paint over it. Some of the clear gesso’s are grittier and may work differently but I find that it’s hard on your posca pens. So if you don’t have a clear gesso that is not gritty use white gesso or extra fine sandpaper to scratch up the cove to give it some grit would also work

I was laughing out loud to the written commentary in this video. I loved it so much. You’re funny! You wanted to know about the Brian we know… what is he like… He is my sister’s ex husband and the father of her kids (both adults now). He is actually a really horrible human. Even his kids agree. Gorgeous page. It reminds me of a sunny, windy day.

I have that very same composition book - it's been my financial planning journal since, ugh, the 20teens. Wish I could find 900 more of them. I love it. Great cover and thank you for using reasonably priced supplies. :-) I'm poor and will be until my kids are done school. I feel so left out seeing great supplies I could never afford. Thanks for the video!
@artsyerinlife18 күн бұрын
I hear you. I don't have much of a budget for art supplies either. There's plenty we can do with inexpensive tools. The best way to stretch our creativity is to limit ourselves to only use what we already have. And if we are plum out- then start with the cheap stuff!. 😁
