Hello... I race slick track on a really slick concrete basement floor. All of the car's are Traxxas based to keep it cheap and basic for everyone. I run a class called Crate Latemodel which is a slash with a Latemodel body and i race Bandit Street Stock which is just a bandit buggy with a SS body. I'm trying to figure out how to get better traction and car control. Right now when i get on the throttle coming out of the turn it wants to get all sideways and out of control. We cannot use treatment or anything on the tires,but we can sand the tires before we get to the track,but not while we're at the track. Do you have any ideas i could try? Thank you so much, Brian

Don’t worry about video length. I’m trying to learn as much as I can on RC Dirt Oval racing. I really learn when people get in-depth. You have to learn what causes things to happen and how things work to be able to know how to fix the problem. You do a great job on explanations!!

For the stock car I think that the McAllister #256 '80 Firebird Street Stock Body would look great on the AE 6.2d. Though some tracks might not allow the body to race so an alternative body would be the McAllister #264 70's Camero Street Stock. For the drift car I would go with the Yokomo SD-GR35BS - Drift Body Set Nissan Skyline R35.

He’s acting like Marcus broke a signed contract or something….hurting the hobby more than anything…sponsorships are easier to get in rc, than they’ve ever been…I just want a place to run my mini z’s…without any fucking drama queen bitches..
@Crabtronics3 жыл бұрын
The used and abused comment I think had more to do with him using the facility, and abusing it by not purchasing from it. Him and Chris Jones dominate the mini z scene in Houston Bc they are both like 20 yr veteran on road racers..they even have off road experience…Marcus stepped in and helped me when I let the track owner your speaking of; build me a car that didn’t work properly, which I was severely overcharged on, with markups on upgraded parts that 1 didn’t work for this application. And 2 I never asked for 3 he offered to build this…yah, Marcus saved the day and fixed it. He’s an awesome dude. Houston rc most likely won’t be around much longer. Unless houston rc track owner pulls his head out of his ass,and fixes it..it may be too late..

This is how i.look at it. Sponsored racers should race with Sponsored racers. I don't go to the pro series because I get smashed on by Sponsored racers everytime. And it's not fun to spend money for tires entry fee etc and get fucking destroyed every time. They should have classes for Sponsored amd non Sponsored races. I don't have the money to have the latest amd greatest stuff and to dope the fuck out of my tires and burn through a set in each class. I have a sc6.1 I run in scmod with a stock chassis not a 700 dollar prodigy or 300 dollars erc or f5 chassis to add on top of the 350 Donner car. They shouldn't add the Sponsored racers in with the non Sponsored club racers. I understand what it's like to never be able to win with Sponsored drivers
@TeamUnknownRacing3 жыл бұрын
It sounds racing may not be for you then. And im saying that in the nicest way possible. Ever seen a big car track do that? No. And there is a reason for that.
@jeffbryner53553 жыл бұрын
@@TeamUnknownRacing I get it but those are big cars racing for big money. Not rc racing. That's like putting some NFL or NBA players against some high-school teams. We know who's going to win lol they need a class for club racing in between novice and the big boys. I can wax novice ass all day long amd I cam hold own with your non Sponsored guys but u get your people like Tyler keel amd them Sponsored guys I don't have a chance in hell lol
@08Joshman2 жыл бұрын
I would never say racing is not for you. I have lots of hobbies not just rc. I don't want to have the expense of a custom built race car or the time to get to that level of skill. Find a series where everyone has to run same affordable kit. Then it's up to setup and skill. Look into 12t money series oval rc puts on. There are many classes around like that.

@TeamUnknownRacing3 жыл бұрын
Foam tire and rubber tire are two completely different setup cars. And even chassis designs. A foam tire car, Will have WAY to much left side weight for racing on loose dirt. Now if your rubber tire track, is a purely clay track, then you could get away with it

This looks great! I get so sick of watching rc tracks that are one line tracks, all tack no slack. All classes had some slide action with control here. Nice track prep! The sprints were hammer down and sliding inside and outside lines. Hell yeah!! If more tracks had racing like this, racing that mimics the real thing, more people will get into RC dirt oval racing! Save the one race-line stuff for the concrete people!
