Here's a few issues that, IMO, are interlinked with the CONS you mentioned: 1. The Rackless system(s) are WAAAAYY "over rigged". It seems that somebody with a LOT of influence in the design of these systems is a rigging nut. By that, I mean they are so into, and experienced with rigging that they use it to "solve" everything. The rigging, alone, has to be half, if not more, of the actual cost of mfg this stuff. Worse yet, is that the rigging is permanent to the system. For example, if you are putting this stuff on a smaller bike and don't want (or need) any of the monstrosity options of the tail bag, there is NO option to eliminate it. So, you pay $$$ for this stuff just to have to remove the beavertail and have an extra bag that you're not going to use. Because it is permanently rigged into the composite flex material they use as the mounting structure, you HAVE to ruin the rigging to remove what you don't want. Huge waste. Surely, they could drastically simplify the rigging AND make it so it is easily removable from the structure without destroying anything. I have a 5L Kriega bag as my tail bag and simply use 2 Voile straps through existing holes in Mosko's flex panel to mount it securely.....and no fussy buckles, adjustments, etc. Bottom line, it is very, very nice, professionally built stuff, but is ridiculously and unnecessarily over-rigged to the point of compromising its adaptability for the way you want to integrate it onto your bike. 2. It looks like they let the rigging nut select the hardware, and this is where it shows that he should stick to rigging. Those T-nuts they use for fastening the panels together are an embarrassment, and not really even that well suited for what they are doing. Not to mention that all the damn unnecessary permanent rigging is in the way and HAS to be sandwiched (unevenly) between the panels as you fasten them together. Just an amateur solution all the way around. 3. They are missing a "size" IMO. You jump from a Rackless 10 to a Rackless 40, but a Rackless 25 would be PERFECT for all the people want to put these on bikes like the KTM 500, Honda 450, Yamaha WR, etc. A 10L bag on the sides, with a 5L....maybe even up to an 8L on the back (that is more FLAT--i.e. Kriega--- than the sleeping bag shape they have now) would be the ultimate solution for smaller bikes, even bigger bikes where the rider doesn't camp and need to carry a pack mule load of stuff. Keep it all waterproof, lose all the ridiculous perma-rigging, and replace the tail piece with a simple rack that the side bags can mount directly to without having to flex it into a shape it doesn't want to be in to install it. NO BEAVERTAIL flaps, rigging, buckles, straps galore, etc. You get the point. Added up, their design choices are too permanently integrated into the assembly of the package that it limits what you can do with it, causes you to destroy what you don't want if you need to remove it, and is missing a size option that a LOT of people would like to have. And all of these choices are substantial cost drivers of the product. I'm extremely confident MoskoMoto could make some design changes that simplify the assembly and use, reduce the cost of it, improve the quality of it, increase the available options, etc.... which result in a significant price reduction to the consumer, BUT a higher profit margin for them if done correctly.

Bought Backcountry 35s , a Nomax tank bag and a 40 liter duffle a little over 3 years ago. Used them for three + years and sold them for about what I paid for em back then. The only reason I sold em was because I got a 701 and wanted to go rackless. Called and talked to Mosko, told em what I was thinking and they took the time to make some good recommendations based on what I’m gonna be doing with the 701. Jason. @constantinosschinas450311 күн бұрын
I did a test ride on the Tuareg. Maybe worst bike i have ever ridden. I don't know if it was the specific bike (2022/7000km) but it was attrocious. Super heavy, cumbersome, bulky, slow to steer. Cannot imagine taking that on dirt. On top of that horrible engine with seriously dangerous throttle jerkiness on low speeds, very low power (thought it was A2 restricted) with sudden and loud intake noise and worst of all: wobbles dramatically in anything above 120km/h. At 140km/h you cannot even go over a bump without it wobbling. They may have messed with suspension who knows, but even if that is the case it felt like a cow with chopstick legs. Ergonomics were pretty bad, i am 183cm with legs to the short side and still my knee has no space and hits the radiator cover. Suspension was stiff but when pressed it immediately became mushy. The front side fairings block road view for absolutely no reason and feel like two plastic sausages. You feel like being in the bike and not on top of it. Mirrors have limited adjustability without loosening them. Seat was mediocre and it was the comfort one. Rear brake was bad. Front brake was ok and ABS was ok too, it could endo without ABS engaging for no reason. Wind coverage was very good, dashboard was difficult to read except speed. I would prefer a CF450MT (which i am no fan of) even if the prices were reversed. Kove 800X pro is like 20x better too. Light, punchy, perfect ergonomics, suspension, no bulk. Even if it has the camshaft issue (which it shouldn't), I would be happy to replace the camshafts every year (250€) till i cover the 4.5K difference, which will take many years to accomplish.
@Xavii198611 күн бұрын
Your findings seem pretty odd to me. I've had a few ADV bikes and tested alot of them and the Tuareg has the smoothest, easiest to control throttle repsonse of all bikes i've ever tried. There's several video's with for example people going from 1800r/m in 3rd picking up full throttle without any hesitation. On high speeds above 130 i agree it starts to wobble a little but depends on the tires my other bikes were more stable. It has one the tightest turning circles in class.. I'm smaller than 183 so ergo's will be different to anyone but u can swap seats and footpegs. For me personally the wind protection from the wind screen is terrible, there's loads of turbelence but that can be addressed as well. The Tuareg has a very punchy motor.. especially for only having 80hp. (Dies earlier obviously than bikes with 100Hp+) That you prefer the Kove800x is very personal but objectively its DEF not a 20x better bike. That just makes no sense at all. The Kove has a stronger punchier motor but it is FAR from smooth in low revs and completely disconnecte throttle. In my opinion there's almost no difference in which bikes are better over the others.. just personal choices and compromises. Also not everyone is able to replace camshafts themselves.. And lastly how is it superheavy? 204 kilo's.. with the fuel carried low comparable to the ktm Adv's. What bikes are you comparing this too? The Cfmoto power to weight ratio is much worse btw 41HP for nearly the same weight (wet as the Tuareg).
@constantinosschinas450311 күн бұрын
@Xavii1986 If we agree on the wobble part it is enough for me to be honest. You just saved me of testing another one. I have ridden only one Tuareg and i clearly underline that the specific bike may had issues (although it was an official Aprilia test bike). The throttle was simply dangerous at low speeds. Kove was indeed 20x better. It was a bike you get on and you immediately understand what you can do on it. Have you tried it? It's TC is not good so maybe that is what you meant disconnected throttle, switch it off. It felt also half weight from the tuareg. Of course i know CFMoto has low power to weight end excees bulk, which i don't like. But it felt a ton lighter and better than the tuareg in all aspects, minus the anemic motor that still had a character and can be improved. It is at least rock solid and does not wobble! From my experience i would not buy the Aprilia even for 6K new. I would buy the 450MT for 8K, and 800X for 12K, given the current prices and quality of bikes. I own 3 bikes and my favorite is the SM700 but i am not comparing to this of course, because it is many levels above in motor science and electronics, which translate into remarkable power delivery and road performance, plus it wobbles going 200km/h like the Tuareg in 100, and that without a windscreen and being almost 50kg lighter. I am only comparing to reviews i see online. Tuareg is a mess. 800X was more than i expected. Kove 450 Rally on the other side was a disappointment. Will test the AT1100 to see what that behemoth is about too. ps. i was just joking on the camshafts. 800X seems to not have a problem.
