49 and new to this sport. This video is hilarious. I can't wait to go watch another one. I would ride with you any day. There is no way I would have ever told you we were on the wrong trail when you were on that old over grown road. Bushwhacking on a GS? I'll keep my lighter bike, but only because I would not have any strength from helping you with your bike and laughing the whole time. We are headed to the Chattahoochee BDRx in a few days and I'm more inspired by this video than any other I have seen. Never give up!

Seeing this made me realize I made the right choice for motocamping/BDR excursions with my little G310GS. I salute you on riding a BDR with the big boy GS.

There was a part of the BDR near the Taccoa river where I had to get off the bike because I couldn't tell where the trail was because it didn't look like a trail. There are a couple gnarley sections. I started the BDR on Old Bucktown Road on my GSA. I hit it at 8am and was pretty exhausted by the time I got to the top of Old Bucktown. It was fun but tiring. Even my arms were tired at the end!

I took the same nose dive while on the SOAL. Took out my left handguard and put some nice gouges in my helmet visor.

Get a light dual sport. You’ll have a lot more fun with your experience level.

He had one, and like me, it's not for him. I prefer comfort, highway ability, and just generally love the big bikes more.

Why do people want so much, bike only good thing a bike like that is good for is the road . Can do so much more on a lighter bike and still do all the road work with it .

I personally like the challenge of the big bike..all my BDRs have been on them...yes lighter bike is easier...but I like mine...thanks for commenting!!
