I had so much fun using this mod. I didn't even think it would be this easy like if i built this by worledit it would take like 5× the time. I just can't describe the fun. And I also found out that zoom is a VERY good combination with infinite reach and especially zoom mods that let you zoom more or less

I have a question whenever I am using axiom and I go out of edit mode/ studio mode where you are flying the camera around I can't seem to place any blocks around with my character so would you maybe know how to fix this?

It's not cheating at all since it allows you to accurately rebuild your creation from creative without having to keep both tabs open (the same game running twice) and having to keep recounting the blocks you need to place because i for sure will have to keep redoing parts cuz i misscounted or misplaced blocks

To me it's literally just speeding up a process you'd be doing anyways. I built a wall around two adjacent villages and wanted to add more village houses to it. For the longest time I had to follow the same tutorials over and over again to build each house bc I can't build them by memory. Litematica + easyplace allowed me to do that in a fraction of the time without the tutorials. It just saved me time.

this mod looks so much easier to use than worldedit. i'm def not a builder, i mostly follow tutorials and try learn things but i rarely have mental or physical energy to play the game and nonetheless try be creative in said game. so i've used worldedit once upon a time to make trees in creative that i can build in survival. and the typing commands is what frustrates me because i am not good at remembering things etc. but axiom seems so much easier in this regard and removes the text commands all together. i def need to try this mod! i just need some energy xD p.s love your style and energy in your videos! 👏

I wanted to compare and contrast different building/terraforming mods, so here I am. The builder tool is essentially what I used MCEdit for back in the day, as I had no idea how to install or use WorldEdit. Since it's a plugin, not a mod, I thought it only worked on servers, not in singleplayer. And now that MCEdit is essentially dead, Axiom seems like a great replacement. I've seen a few shots of the "Right Shift menu", which seems to be the "WorldEdit killer" part, but I'm not sure if it has a block replacement function, which allows for quick and easy texturing, something that I always loved in WorldEdit and was jealous of. So yes, I would love to see the separate tutorial on the "Right Shift menu". Or I could just look for another tutorial, I guess, since it's been a year since this video came out...

I am so late to this discussion, but... I don't get all these arguments that say easyplace is cheating or unethical. If having an overlay of your build that you can trace over isn't cheating, why is easyplace so different? To me, it just seems the logical upgrade from what we already had. Besides, I think the most useful thing about this feature is not building faster overall but the fact you can easily do gradients or textures (and of course right orientation) without having to swap your hotkeys every time. It just saves you the frustration and burn-out. And before you say "I don't get frustrated, it is very calming for me in fact," people are different. It is a toggleable feature. If you don't want to use it, don't. There is nothing unethical about this. Seriously, there is way too many "then just paste it and swap from creative to survival" comments. If you are not for schematics, I can at least understand your perspective, but often times these people just specifically target easyplace which I can't understand. I mean, I can understand not liking a feature, but for the people who call it unethical and actively shame people for using it: why? Before anyone makes a comparison to hacked clients, allow me to. With a hack client, you can reach further, and this is true for easyplace. Let's say the person using the hack client has no intention to ruin other people's fun and just uses it for convenience sake. Here is my defense: reach is a hack designed to give someone an advantage over other people. Easyplace is a feature of a MOD used to make building easier. Intention is key. Exactly how are people going to abuse easyplace to have an advantage over someone? It is a FREE mod. Of course, some servers do not allow mods, but if you are fine with schematics, why not easyplace, which is simply a feature? For example, there's a mod that adds a minimap to the game. Using it, you will be able to see further distance into your generated world. Thus, you have an advantage. However, do you believe this is unethical? It simply makes it easier for you to navigate. Another example, waypoints give you an advantage, but they like every other mod is not abuseable, because everyone can just download the mod. And if your argument is that what if not everyone has it? Well, there is a zoom mod, and before we got the spyglass, no one complained about how "unethical" it was that some players could zoom in, and some couldn't. You can technically zoom in but it takes longer than toggling with a mod. Same thing with placing blocks... sound familiar? TLDR: Easyplace is not unethical. It is a feature of a mod. Mods can give you an advantage, but they are different from hacking (which many people compare easyplace to), because of their intention. Easyplace is not meant to gain an advantage over another player. It is simply to make building easier, which is schematic's goal. You either consider them both unethical, or accept them both. And like every other mod, if you don't like them, you don't have to use them.

As someone who likes building crazy big stuff, my hands/tendons often really hurt in long marathons. Left clicking 1000 times is alright, but when the schematics adds up to hundreds of thousands or over a million blocks, it’s really tough. Same story with tools like fast placing
