Interesting watch, found it unique that the crown at 12:00, which I assume helps protect it. With you, wish all watch makers would use the brightest & longest lume on their watches. Might be a cost issue.

@@samnova450 cheers Sam yeah i like the crown at the 12, just that bit different and they tested these a lot with cops and squaddies so they've chosen that position also from feedback, but the bad alignment and weak lume really disappointing...!!

A lovely looking quartz tool watch 👍🏻 super legible at all angles, wears well on wrist for the dimensions. A pretty much perfect beater for land & sea. Only downside for me is the lume 🤔

Colour palette is SO (wannabe) Fortis! Aka... German - light - kitsch. Case size and colour is SO (wannabe) toolish. Aka... fantom/steath/militaire. Price is SO (wannabe) aligned with size, it hurts.... Could get 3 or 4x from Ali, 2x Phoibos Eagle Ray with better lume, or a lot with same movement, but cheaper. SO, either - really - like it and get it, or easily pass it. To each, his own. Cheers mate. Hope all is good on your part of the world. Here things go wild, in many aspects (but i manage... so far! LOL)

I see you also have a UV5R. I haven't touched mine since a certain Israeli incident haha! Now this Laco looks badass! This looks like it should be on the wrist of a tier one operator. I think the shape is interesting and should be quite comfortable. I like the strap but the lume can do with improvement as mentioned. Pretty is subjective. The only time I prefer form over function is when it comes to women haha! Thanks for sharing!

Got to say the 007 is stunning! Some people maybe thinking that the 008 being a limited edition of 5K isn't really limited, and they would ordinarily be correct if we are looking at the likes of a Swiss brand with sale volumes in the tens of thousands per annum, whereas Citizen sell over 200M individual watches each year.

Great presentation, I like the design of this watch. I wad looking for the green one with the cordura band, but it's not available. I think it is overpriced, maybe next year will be a little cheaper. But in the meantime I bought the GWG-B1000-3AER green mudmaster, it was on sale for 520 euros, and I can say it's a very nice watch, all the functions you need, multiband 6, bluetooth, ABC sensors, sunrise /sunset data, dual backlight, compared to the citizen promaster land. The only nice thing is the MIP display, and of course the design.

Right of the bat they get a +1 for the lovely leather roll! That orange washi dial is beautiful! They are way more affordable than Citizens one but look just as nice! Its apparently a dying art because it takes years to learn how to do it properly and the materials are scarce as well! Like you mentioned the paper dial is super thin. I think like ten times thinner than a normal sheet of paper. Thanks for sharing man!

I have a real SUB but I also bought one of these replicas from MAMACOO for piece of mind if I go to another country or if I am doing activities that can damage the watch. I don't see anything wrong with that.

You are correct. A lot of people are complaining it's not a real Pogue but nowhere in Seiko's marketing will you find them claiming that it is. I blame KZbin creators for creating this misunderstanding. They've just released a famous dial colour. Whilst I was in my local dealer buying mine, the Seiko rep was there and he told me this watch has been a massive hit worldwide. We all know that Seiko do great dials but this is on another level. I find it hard to take my eyes off it. PS I suggested to him that Seiko should release a proper Pogue reissue like they did with the 5 sports 55th anniversary. It doesn't have to be automatic, because the original didn't have running seconds, and the sweeping chronograph hand could be taken care of with a meca quartz. Hopefully he'll mention it back at the office 😎

Ordered my no date version with pt5000 movement from AliExpress and can't wait for its arrival. I like the 'kermit' look but it is hard to find a homage to that with the closest being a steinhart ocean one 39. Instead of paying 500 for it, might as well get this although in maxi case design, it should be well worth the money. It is gonna be my first Cronos too. Thanks for the review as this version's review is pretty rare on youtube

I have two Stirling watches and they are brilliant. Designed for soldiers by soldiers and for the price are excellent quality. Just remember, this is not Haute Horology. Regarding quartz, the MOD did tend to favour them over mechanical for accuracy, but as Tom from Stirling has stated that this brand was created because digital and some quartz failed when you actually needed to use the watch whilst on active duty!

I'm on my 6th ironman Classic. I replace them when the text on the watch's face fade/wear out. The old bracelet use to crack and peel and break, but the new bracelets last as long as the watch.

Awesome review! I had the willard for myself more than a year now. It was one of my grails, I absolutely love it! I only have 2 gripes. The movement was initially behaved fairly poorly and inaccurately but a service sorted that. For some reason I had very poor experience with the 6r35 movements. 3 out of 4 were crap. My other gripe is the lug hole positioning. It is far too low in the case there for making rubber straps sit waaay to low, like they don’t belong. Well here is my 2p.

Yeah for the price with the fake screws for the pushers, at least Seiko PADI the screws actually are used to waterproof the pushers.. GREAT VIDEO!!!
