HW fanboy from here in Utah - Definitely drop the High West seasonal releases, and try their Cask Collection. $70, for higher proofed and really good finishes. This years MWND feels like a basic finished shite bottle, but these Cask Collections are unique and fun, and all of them have been way better than MWND 12.

That's actually the emerald giant cask strength and cost more than $60. We've recently started to get some Redwood Empire stuff around NC/SC. Really good stuff. I'm not sure how Stellum is getting all this hype? It's ok at best for me. I've not had that black rye though. I love doing blind tastings.

Good choices to compare. I have all 3, and at least one backup of each. Stellum black is clearly the best to me, but I love everything Redwood Empire too. Stellum black however hides it's proof in it's age and maturity, it's one of my favorite pours of all time. Love regular Stellum too. Multiple backups of both. (Found some blacks on clearance recently and got 3 for 80 ea)

Local liquor store was closing out the Stellum bottles. I got two Fibonacci, two Lone Cypress, and a Hunter’s Moon for $39 each.

As someone who just got into bourbon at the beginning of 2024… by far this New Riff SiB has been one of my faves. It drinks better than bottles I’ve spent way more on for sure.

Found one at the HyVee in Dubuque. It was a store pick for $99

ET bib is pretty hard to beat. 1 liter for $24 in my central Texas go-to store. Love Stagg also, not in the same ballpark. I know nothing of the copper tongue.
